Posted: 7/9/14 at 7:53pmAm I correct in assuming Margo passed? I always enjoyed our conversations.

Posted: 7/9/14 at 8:20pmSupposedly he passed. I still don't know how. He was the first BWW-er I ever met. Wonderful guy.

Whizzer has picked up the torch with grace and intelligence, but I still catch myself logging on to BWW to read Margo's reviews.
I definitely miss him.
#8I really miss Margo
Posted: 7/9/14 at 8:26pmHe really came across as a wonderful person. What age bracket was he?
#9I really miss Margo
Posted: 7/9/14 at 9:00pmHe was in his forties, I'd say.

Did the actual person or the BWW persona pass?
He was a very smart participant here.

Posted: 7/10/14 at 10:18amIt was said that the real poster died. For the longest time any mention of it would get deleted by BWW.

Posted: 7/10/14 at 1:04pmI am shocked this thread remains 24 hours later. She really made BWW for me when I first joined. For those youngsters among us she was part empress, part den mother. I really do miss her.

MargoChanning (James) did pass away, about five or six years ago. This was told to me by a mutual friend who, sadly, has also passed. I'm not sure of the details, and it's really not my business, but he's gone.
His posts were a large part of what attracted me to this board in the first place. His knowledge was immense, and he always knew what to say and how to say it.

He helped me out a lot when I was first coming out. What Joe said is very true. He was a beautiful soul.

He could also be a real fun bitch to hang around with! Favorite memory? First preview of IN MY LIFE sitting between him and Iflitifloat. We HOWLED. And then went to Marseille and met up with others and continued to howl into the night. I think we sold five tickets that night to other BWW-ers.
Good times.

We need Winston to come back.

Robbie, that was the best night. Absolutely favorite Margo memory! I still laugh when I remember it.
I also remember going to the opening Preview night of the revivial of A CHORUS LINE with him (and Cookie and KMF-NYC). We spent hours and hours and hours (back at Marseille) after the show talking about it. Wonderful.
