I was not directing my comment at you - but at the general tone that was prevalent post 9/11 of "you are with us, or against us."
I can think of a few Republican commentators who have thrown out the phrase "traitor" at those who disagree with the Bush Administration.
And, my reading is that Bush is a Social Conservative, with policies that include a splash of NeoConservatism. Yet he cuts taxes like a Fiscal Conservative while continuing to spend like a drunken sailor.
He is not the traditional Republican, which (at least as I was taught) has a far more Libertarian bent.

The congress spends the money and appropriates it. Both the Republican congress and the democrat congress have way overspent our nation.
And to the person who commented on the immigration bill, it was a Bush/Kennedy/Grahamnesty bill.
