She was thrilling.
PierDance, 2006
With 8,000 hot men (and, yes, some women) in attendance, Idina ended a glorious Pier Dance and an absolutely perfect Gay Pride Day with a dance remix of "So Beautiful" from her 2004 album.
And then, as the sun set over the Palisades and the lights illuminated the shirtless, sweaty pulsing crowd, she did the Tracy Young dance remix of "Defying Gravity," and the crowd went wild.
She thanked the gay community for inviting her and she thanked Tracy Young for the remix.
Her voice sounded great and she looked "so beautiful."
Spotted at the pier dance: Calvin, looking very fetching tending bar in the VIP section, raising tip money to benefit the NYC Gay Men's Chorus, and WithoutaTrace, looking sizzlingly hot and canoodling (as they say in the gossip columns) with a very hot Hot Daddy.
A good time was had by all, and no wizard that there is or was is ever going to put our Gay Pride dowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn.
wow... stacy, the advisor for rainbow room missed this to be with us today.
remind me to thank her up and down next sunday.
"remind me to thank her up and down next sunday."
Is that a euphemism?
ya know, as i was typing it i thought "oh this sounds dirty..."
Reminded me of that "Freak Me" song.
the line that pops into my head is "i want to drink your body down" from "some of my ****ed up world" by pray for the soul of betty.
The "Freak Me" lyric is "Let me lick you up and down till you say stop."
yeah i guess that could work too lol
Anyone have pictures of Idina?

This was yesterday?
I love Idina - I want to see pictures too!
Idina rocks!
Thanks for the info for all the Idina fans who didn't attend! Hope you had lots of fun yesterday. I would love to hear the "So Beautiful" remix. Very jealous.
But where, pray tell
Was Mr. Menzel?

Canoodling with WaT. PJ didn't want to name drop.
You saw me and didn't even say hi?!
Oh, and I'm glad Idina delivered (I could barely hear her set, as I was still trying to get drinks served by last call), because you have no idea how many people were ticked off when I told them she would be the special guest. The typical reaction:
"Who? Last year, we had J-Lo, and this year, it it's Indina Rotel? Who the hell is he?"
Idina was incredible. She sounded and looked amazing. My first Pier Dance was so much fun and I will definitely go back again next year, assuming I have another hot date.
Great running into you, PJ...I'm glad we spotted each other.
I said you were spotted, not necessarily by me. Do you think Richard Johnson himself sees EVERYONE who is mentioned on Page 6?
We weren't in the VIP section, but Giorgio, our Italian musclebear friend from Milan, came down to dance with us hoi palloi, and I asked him if he saw my friend Calvin at the bar. He said, "Which was one your friend?"
"The cute one." I told him.
Giorgio said, "Oh, yes! The cute one! I saw him--he was VERY cute."
Ah, that probably wasn't me.
I wasn't bartending; I was one of the cocktail waiters working the crowd. I thought my name had been legally changed to "Svedka Boy" by the end of the night.
So, you're not cute?

That must have been such a fun show.
Indina Rotel...
True, some people didn't know who she was, but I think they were impressed when she started singing.
Of course not, SOMMS!
I did hear enough of the "Defying Gravity" remix to turn me a little gayer, so that was nice.
That must be one helluva remix!

I want to see pictures! I'm not going to lie, I have a little bit of a girl crush on Idina
She came off really well as a dance music diva. The crowd liked her vocal pyrotechnics, which are even better than on the released version.
And Calvin, I just emailed Giorgio, who responded: "so if your friend was svedkas boy not bartend, then not just he was cute, he was very cute. tell him baci from giorgio!"
