If you had to perform in your underwear to get attention, would you do it?

I'm not convinced that's a real if/then proposition. Also, I feel like the use of quotation marks is condescending.

See? I posed nude once and it was totally for art.

And then Art asked you to please put your clothes back on.
Right?
Right?

I used to dance in my underwear many, many years ago but it was my job. I was young...and I needed the money. Don't judge.

Yes, I've danced in my scanties.
Three bucks a night was the pay.
Seriously, I was the first one with that? I don't even like Sondheim.

I'm not judging- and I see absolutely NOTHING wrong with using your body to earn a living- Just sad that people can't be upfront that that is indeed what they are doing.

I used to dance around the house in my underwear. Didn't make me Madonna.

That would depend on a great many things including how I personally felt about my talent - if people took the hirers word for their talent, a lot of people who after long periods pounding the pavement who eventually proved very successful would never have done so -, how much of an exhibitionist I was, how proud of my body I was, how objectively I looked, how subjectively I looked, whether performing in my underwear in the particular performance seemed arbitrary or organic to the show, or to what I was doing in it, and about a million other things.
p.s. there have been times in my life when I have been a different type of exhibitionist, In some shows, otherwise completely clothed, I decided to perform without underwear as a way of getting more attention and I don't regret it for a second. Going commando offstage can have its benefits as well!

The question is ambiguous-seems like it says you have a choice-fully clothed or underwear.Clothed isn't working so remove to keep the punters in their seats. If just the sight of your semi naked body works then the performance becomes voyeristic[?] and not the original intent.Too much thinking--just take it all off and take the money.

Didn't hurt Tom Cruise's career. In fact, his underwear scene has become iconic.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

It's not "About" anyone- just a random thought that occurred to me. There are a lot of young cabre4t acts that would love some wide exposure- if performing in briefs gets you repeated exposure (no pun intended) do you go for it? And if so, how many times? Do you ever move on from this novelty act that apparently "Packs 'em in"?
