And Stagey, don't forget I did jump into the pit to save you from Harris's lions, tigers, bears, cows, whatevers...
**hugs D2** and that is one of the many reasons I love you so!
Is George going to make the outing on Sat? I need someone to pick on.
I'm not sure, Tink. I'm inviting him, but I think he's going to be on Fire Island rehearsing that production he's musical directing.
I don't know if he's a loser, per se, but if he can't join us on Saturday, it will be his loss.
Mine too. Every time I read it (about every 5 years or so) I'm amazed at what new things I find, and just how well written it is.
I sped through the first half on the plane. I just engulfed it. I will read the rest tonight when I have mental power again. It was a bit confusing in the beginning, but luckily learning the characters through the musical already, it didn't effect it too much.
I attempted to watch the movie once.
And, Deet, I'm forever indebted to you for saving me from harris' menagerie.
My pleasure,Stagey.
The movie has its moments, but overall it is pretty much a mess.
I'm not familiar with the musical, but I love the piece they performed at the Tonys the year THE LION KING won.
Don't forget, Patti also sang a verse and the chorus to "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" in the opening number. She was joined by Jennifer Holliday ("And I Am Telling You...") and Betty Buckley ("Memory").
That was '98? Wow. I'd seen the clip before, but I didn't know it was the same season as Ragtime.
Imagine being at Radio City for that!
You were there, wiz? *jealous*
'Twas. I remember it well. It was my second Tonys.
We are back from the lake. I can't wait for school to start so all the teenagers and little kids will be gone and we can have some privacy on the beach.
Did you see the pictures of Jrby in the cat suit? LOL what a joke.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh guys guess what??
