ctrutle: Yup. I have been lucky enough to work with companies that supported me and beleived in me and they have supplied me with amazing understudies. and because they are guaranteed few shows a week there is none of thise understudy tension, so we actually usually become really good friends.

And Theatrebabe: I think I might have found a way around it. Not for sure, but its in the works.

Well I saw Hearn last year in Wicked in May and was so happy after having watched the Sweeney tour dvd literally like everyday with WickedGeek summer '04. SO when I found out Ben was on vacation this year and it was my chance to see George again, I was determined to see him again(don't ask me why, I already saw him and don't know why I was all "OMG I must see him again!"). Anyway, in the 2 weeks he was there for, WickedGeek won lotto with me and we saw him, show was great.
So after at the stagedoor, I wanted a picture with him because I'd probably never see him again and wanted a picture with basically a legend, and a personal favorite of mine. So when I didn't see him come out, I asked the stagedoor man and he said the usual "Oh he already went home" speech. However, 15 minutes later he taps me and sort of motions his eyes like "Look over there, hes going, nows your chance" as Hilty or someone had already distracted all the obsessed crowd.
I ran and saw him and told him the rundown of how much we admired him and asked for a picture. He said yes and I was so excited that somehow in the transition of me pulling it out of my pocket, it fumbled onto the ground and I mockingly said in near falsetto "George you destroyed my camera" and I honestly think he meant it cause he gave me one of the weirdest looks ever and I didn't get my picture with him . So to this day he is "the reason" my camera smashed in front of the Gershwin! But it was worth it after that experience.
The ironic thing is that earlier I saw the Woman in White and was intent on getting a picture with Maria, I love the woman. Literally as the shutter is going off to take the picture, the camera battery dies X( I now have a distorted picture beyond comparison of me and her. It actually looks like half of my face with a reddish blonde Angela Lansbury as Mrs. Lovett cause the colors and images blurred. I rather like it lol.
Later knowing that I would need new batteries, I bought some, only to not have used them because the first chance I get to take a picture with another idol, the camera is shattered. What a joyous day for picture taking!
Hey at least in the process of buying those batteries at Duane Reade, I ran into Ben Magnuson at the ATM! I'm just casually like, "Hey Ben, have a good show tonight" so nonchalant and feeling all cool. Lol, he enjoyed the recognition I think.
And theres my whole like 3 stories in one speech!
