When I'm not studying I read novels. I love Chabon, Palahnuick, King, McCarthy, Wolfe, Delilo, etc.

Is it bad that I only immediately recognized two of those? I'm such a bad English major.
I prefer non-fiction (i.e. memoirs, biographies, history, supernatural).

I don't really love reading. Which is sad. But when I get into a book, I'll finish it the same day.

Isn't "Q" easier to type than "DG" - and you get to use your pinkie.
I love it when you get to use your pinkie.
LOL.
It is easier to type. And my pinky always needs a workout.

And we musn't forget our other digits . . .
Well, they get plenty of exercise.
Let me make your pinky all stinky.
Strangers With Candy. Too funny.
Yess! I'm do glad someone got the reference. Not too many people have seen or appreciate the show, but it never fails to make me roar with laughter.
It's a hoot. I always laugh at that show.
My favorite is Principal Blackman
See, I'm all for Jerri. I love the little poem she wrote for career day in school, "Packing a Musket."
When you work from your home
And johns call on the phone,
You're a call girl.
When you walk 'til you limp,
And give a cut to a pimp,
You're a street whore.
When they're beggin' you please
To get down on your knees
Near their groinage,
Excus-a me, but you see,
Don't you touch where they pee
Without coinage.
*pause*
When I straddle and squat,
To show you my...
*bell rings*
LOL!
I read all the freakin' time. I just finished reading A Boy's Own Story, by Edmund White. Unsatisfying ending, but nicely written.
I read Angels in America in one day. Woo did that wear me out!
I read more screenplays than anything.
about an hour and a half ago a huge explosion happened somewhere nearby and set off all the car alarms on my street. And then I looked out the window just as another one happened and a HUGE ball of fire shot up and lit up the sky. For the next while my entire neighbourhood was up in panic trying to figure what was going on and why there were continuous booms and the sky being covered in a cloud of smoke.
We still don't really knw, but the story going around is either a gas station or oil refinery caught fire and exploded...scary stuff. the explosions have quieted down enough that I am gonna try and go to sleep.

I have a ton of books to read I always make a summer reading list, but I've been SO bad this year it's disgraceful.
I'm reading "Naked" by David Sedaris and still trying to slog through "A Farewell to Arms". I'm starting to like it a little better, so hopefully I'll make some progress so I can move on to something I'll enjoy more.
