JFK has been dead over 60 years. MLK and RFK have been dead over 50 years. The files were initially classified to protect national security interests, don't think that is necessary now - lol. Outside of the CIA, don't think anybody else is really upset about this happening. Epstein died not even 6 years ago, big difference. -lol. Be careful what you wish for in wanting his files public. I am willing to bet all of you liberals Bill Clinton's name is all over those files also.
The 1rst and 2nd lady were immigrants and that is a good thing. Did they come here by sneaking under a border fence and trying to avoid the police? I am not exactly sure of the exact numbers, but I believed during the Obama and Trump years, over 1 million people a year entered the country legally. I would think most people are fine with that, obey the law and go through the legal immigration process. Please explain to me why people should not be deported for breaking federal immigration law?
He's eliminating any agency that could possibly deliver bad news to him. E-coli outbreak? Won't happen now. Another pandemic won't happen now. Contaminated food? Non-existent for the next four years.
He's also determined to get rid of FEMA and wants each state to handle their own disasters. He doesn't want to help anyone outside of the billionaires that pad his pockets. Notice his new tax breaks are for the rich while the poor and middle class will get taxed more. Nobody should be surprised by this as he did the same in his first term.
I'd like to hear from a Republican as to why having Musk lead DOGE is a good thing? And why does MTG need to be his sidekick for it?
For years, we’ve been told that the government was failing the American people, that Congress wasn’t focused on real problems but instead wasting time on distractions. And now? Rep. Andy Ogles (R-Tenn.) has introduced a resolution to amend the 22nd Amendment, allowing former presidents to serve a third term if their first two terms were non-consecutive.
Let’s be clear: there’s almost no chance this will go anywhere, but that’s not the point. This kind of performative legislation does nothing to solve the actual issues facing Americans. Congress should be working to tackle real problems: improving infrastructure, addressing healthcare, supporting working families, and ensuring economic stability. Instead, Ogles is spending time proposing a measure designed to cater to one man’s ambitions while ignoring the needs of his constituents.
And let’s not overlook the irony. Ogles, who touts himself as a defender of ethics and accountability, is under scrutiny for campaign finance violations. Is this the best use of his platform? Shouldn’t his priority be serving the people of Tennessee with integrity rather than fueling divisive political theater? It’s time for responsible members of the Republican Party to speak out—not because this resolution is likely to succeed, but because wasting time on distractions like this erodes trust in government and leaves real problems unaddressed.
America deserves better.

That’s a difference between us.
If Bill Clinton‘s name is in the Epstein files, then that is for Bill Clinton to deal with, but we have a right to know if the people in charge of our government right now are anyway connected with that monster.

Because crossing a river or an imaginary line in the middle of the desert is not a real crime. That act, by itself, doesn't do anyone any harm. If someone subsequently does cause harm to others, then that's the real crime that deserves to be punished. (I know I'm an extremist on this. I'm fine with that.)
Granting a third term would then allow Obama to run again. Obama vs. Dumpster (83 by 2028), would be a fun debate to watch. And Obama would obliterate him!
“The language specifies preventing a president running for a third term if they were elected for two consecutive terms.”
In other words, the Tennessean’s measure would let Trump seek a third term, while preventing Barack Obama from doing the same, reinforcing the obvious fact that this is more of a partisan stunt than a serious effort to amend the Constitution.
Glad to the party in power is spending its days helping to get the price of groceries under control…

Yep, you are an extremist on this issue. Not even going to try and debate it.

Just to be clear Zeppie this article continues to surface is the connection between Jeffrey Epstein and prominent figures like Bill Clinton AND Donald Trump. Though the article states no inappropriate behavior was witnessed be either man.
Seeing a former/current president linked to such a scandal is unsettling and reflects the persistent issues of power and accountability in America.
I’m visiting London this week, and watching the news coming out of the U.S. has been difficult. It feels like there’s so much upheaval—policies rolling back workplace protections, rising medication costs, and increasing divisions in public health and leadership. Seeing these stories while knowing so many are already struggling with rising costs. It’s hard not to wonder where things are headed and how we can do better.
Imagine if Kamala Harris had nominated someone to run the military who’s mother said
“You are an abuser of women—that is the ugly truth and I have no respect for any man that belittles, lies, cheats, sleeps around, and uses women for his own power and ego.”

Friday night massacre
In the wake of the Trump administration firing roughly 17 independent inspectors general without the legally required 30-day notice, even some Republicans are voicing concern. Here are what key Republican leaders are saying:
1. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa):
There may be good reason the IGs were fired. We need to know that if so.
Grassley acknowledged the legality of the firings, stating, The 30-day detailed notice of removal that the law demands was not provided to Congress.
2. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.):
While admitting the move violated federal statutes, Graham dismissed the severity: Just tell them you need to follow the law next time.
Republican acknowledgment of legal breaches, paired with muted responses, raises critical questions:
Are these firings truly justified, or is this a dangerous precedent?
These voices highlight the tension even within Trump's own party.
It is funny to meIt is funny to me how The board’s resident Trump supporter/Republican can only say "well what about Bill Clinton?"
Who hasn’t been president in a quarter of a century.

he sending the immigration flights to Mexico regardless of where they're from. Mexico is refusing the flights if they don't have Mexicans on it? MAGAs can enjoy paying for this!
The White House’s budget office ordering a pause on federal financial assistance, grants, and loans under President Trump’s administration. This decision seems to impact a wide range of programs, including disaster relief, education, small business loans, and more, with unclear definitions and potential legal questions about executive authority.
The memo specifically cites a pause on programs related to “D.E.I., woke gender ideology, and the Green New Deal,” stating these do not align with taxpayer interests. However, nonprofit organizations and government agencies have raised concerns about the devastating consequences for communities, such as halting food assistance, domestic violence support, and cancer research.
Would love if someone who supports President Trump, would help me understand your perspective:
1. How do you interpret this decision, and do you see it aligning with the administration’s stated priorities?
2. Do you agree with the claim that these programs represent a waste of taxpayer dollars?
3. How do you view the potential consequences for nonprofits, local governments, and individuals who rely on this assistance?
