I watched American Beauty twice last weekend -- love that movie Chris Cooper knocks me out every time. Tonight was all about Friday Night Lights totally underrated...the kids especially are excellent. And to really illuminate how absolutely dreary my life has become: my big plans for the weekend are very serious sleeping and cleaning-- because (one fist in air) I rule.

There are actually more people on this board who dislike AB than like it. To each his own of course, but I have always loved that movie. Even if Spacey gives me the creeps.

I love Annette. She was so good in Running With Scissors, which was otherwise an awful move.
It's one of those bad movies I reccomend just to see her perf. Bril!

Yeah me too-- I am pretty sure it will be the night shift on this tread for me -- days are just too hectic.

Agreed on Spacey...AB and Suspects I liked him in, but he has never really been a great fav and for damn sure I am still angry that it was him that won for AB. I never understood how Cooper didn't get nominated at all and Annette losing to Hilary Swank makes me want to hit someone a little bit.

Love this movie! Anyone notice that the navel on the cover is in the shape of a keyhole? Took me several glances to notice it.

She was wonderful in that too, but for my money, in Running With Scissors and AB she just brings the house down.

That was one of my fave lines! I want to see it again now just to watch her.
In Scissors, the highpoint of the perf was at the end when her son leaves and she actually made me feel bad for HER. After being such a self centered and psycholigically abusive mother, I actually cried a little for her. How did she do that?

You what's ironic about that Jaily -- my ex moved me to the suburbs in 99 and we built the house...the contractors (my in-laws, I'm just sayin') laid the wrong tile in the house...I screamed, yelled, stomped, fumed, threatened legal action because of the mistake until it was revealed that my stupid mother in law placed the order incorrectly and there was nothing I could do about it - to make amends she dragged me shopping at Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall and I wound up with some very beige designer clothes -- which got returned at the first possible opportunity.

So when we saw the movie sometime later I became paranoid that I could win up being just like Carolyn....it's no mistake that we were divorced in 2001.

My personal favorite "There happens to be a lot about me that you don't know, Mr. Smarty Man"
