Let me start by saying I really enjoyed Chicago. But...I agree with you Brend...I mean, CM2...I mean Brendan. I agree that most movie musicals, or even tapings of stage shows, have a hard time focusing on the dancing. I wouldn't necessarily put all of the blame on the director, though. ), the editors, and in a lot cases the exec. producers, have a lot of the final say. I think Rob Marshall did a FANTASTIC job for his film directorial debut. But, you're right, the quick MTV cutting style has had a HUGE effect on filmmaking. Too bad. Gone are the days of Busby Burkley.
