Ewww, I had to sing "It's a Grand Night For Singing" for our musical theatre showcase in May... and I had to waltz... and my partner was this kid who is just a lovely person but OHMIGOD, he couldn't figure out where his feet were supposed to go. It was... a challenge.

I would die if I didn't sing!
I had to waltz in "The Merry Widow", BTW, and it was okay, but my partner and I kept colliding with other couples (we singers can't dance).

That reminds me - the local college which I just did A Chorus Line with a month ago has their first preview of State Fair tonight. I can't make it, I'm going Saturday, but I have a lot of friends in it, including one on this board, though he almost NEVER posts.

MattSings, if you were famous I'd have your poster on my wall, and your CD set on repeat. I LAHVE your voice.
I don't get to sing for fun as much as I would like to. Some days you have no idea how much I just want to spend the whole afternoon belting out showtunes, but I have to preserve my voice for serious classical voice practice time. That's fun, don't get me wrong, but it's not as cathartic as showtunes.
