Any love for Jennifer Coolidge here? I was watching Austenland and she completely steals the movie. Her faux-Cockney accent mixed with Jane Austen-ness is hilarious (I wish I could find a clip of her doing it). And she has always been funny in her other work.

And even with a wobbly accent, she makes 2 Broke Girls funny.

Love her. She's one of those actors who just by showing up makes every scene better.

She's hysterical on an episode of "Friends" as a woman who moved briefly to England and comes back with a fake accent.

Posted: 6/24/14 at 7:51amCount me in. She's one of the funniest women on the planet, and was the best Edith Phelps Potter EVER! Only she could make the horrifying act of letting cigarette ash fall on a newborn baby's face fall on the floor funny. Still horrifying, but funny.

Don't forget her as the beautician in Legally Blonde. Bend and snap!

Just watch her in the background in the second scene. Hilarious.

Kristen Johnston tells a story, which I believe is about Coolidge, where Jennifer missed her entrance while appearing in The Women because she had to poop. Of course hearing Johnston tell the tale is where most of the hilarity comes from.

There's something so deceptively "un-polished" about her. When I first saw her in AMERICAN PIE, I thought she might be a civilian who was cast for her "natural" eccentricity.
Subsequent roles have proven her to be so enormously talented that I don't care whether she gets an accent right. She's quite obviously a pro, and still there's this sense that she might be a last-minute, emergency replacement from the nearby community theater.

She projects a true aura, which is very rare with screen acting. Your eye is always drawn to her when she appears on screen. It's no coincidence that her Two Broke Girls role always involves a big entrance with audience applause. It's a joke in and of itself, but also necessary.
If she wasn't wonderfully eccentric, but more mainstream, she would be a huge star.

Agree with all, she is a treasure and mb, I am sure she would be wonderful. How about a good remake of Stella Dallas?
On another note, did anyone who saw "Gentleman's Guide..." notice how much Lauren Worsham resembled Jennifer?

Gaveston, I love your thought about a last minute emergency replacement. It seems so true. And that is what is so great about her. That's what makes her.
And doodle, I love the idea of Stella Dallas. She could really make that role believable.

Posted: 6/28/14 at 1:33amLittleEdieFan, you made me think that we'll probably never get to see what Jennifer could do with the Little Edie Beale character. She's probably one of the few that could actually bring something interesting to the character.
