Jon and Kate Plus 8 — Page 8

So I just saw a report that says that they get paid $75,000.00 per episode. Is Jon even working right now? He dropped out of college and has worked odd jobs. She's currently on all these press tours selling a "scrapbook". I saw her new book in Barnes and Noble and it's basically just pictures on each page along side a bible verse and a little blurb she wrote. I know I seem a little cynical here but I also think they have become a little jaded. I read an article that he took pictures with those college women because they recognized him and they wanted a picture with him. Still- why was he even out without his wife? Also, the press was asking her questions about their life and she said they would just have to watch! It's like they have become entitled to all of this attention simply because they chose to have more kids. I don't see the other families on TLC acting like this. It seems that the TLC network has been their main source of income. I guess they have to milk it as long as they can because I don't know of any other job that would pay that much. It's also such a shame that the older girls- especially Maddie- have been shown in such a bad light. I also can't believe that now they have become celebrities and are appearing on the cover of magazines that usually have been reserved for entertainers and such. Okay- I better get off my soap box now.

Yeah- I know what you mean Stockard. Seems like I only watch so that I can see Jon put Kate in her place- pathetic huh?

Yeah brdlwyr- I saw that episode and I thought it was pathetic too. The kids really didn't want to be there and it didn't even seem like they cared. It's like Kate was forcing the memories on them. I also saw the episode where she was taking photos of her kids next to the potty that contained their poop- what? It's because of this show that Octomom got her brilliant idea to get paid for having a bunch of kids. I mean- why enter the workforce when you can stay at home, go on very expensive and all-paid for vacations, and get paid to do it! Since Octomom wants to go back to school in the fall- she's probably even banking on her reality show to pay for her college and daycare- jeez! P.S. I hope the Gosselin kids have trust funds set up instead of their parents getting everything. Their show has certainly afforded a huge house on some major property. Octomom plans to be filming for the next 20 years. I wonder how long the Gosselin's will go on?

eh, I'm not a Nielsen family, though. No one cares what I watch.

But, I will be sad if this means the new episode with the $5,000+ treehouses will not be airing...
