Hah, not at all. When Kate started talking about how he was going to find a great wife some day just after talking about how much he loves clothes and high heels, I was like, "... yeah, not so much."
Am I the only one who thinks a woman who can't stand her children to look messy, and doesn't want them touching markers or glue or sparkles maybe shouldn't have had eight kids? And maybe shouldn't take them to...say...a Crayola factory?
I don't blame those kids for melting down in last night's episode. You don't take 3 and 6 year olds to a Crayola FUN Factory and then tell them not to touch the supplies on the FUN table.
She's that type of mom whose every action seems to say, "We're going to go somewhere fun, but don't actually HAVE any fun because it makes me nervous and upset."
It's really disturbing to watch, as she continually sets those kids up to be frustrated. I'm glad they get to visit their Aunt's house to make lollipops and get messy.

That's definitely her one huge flaw, it seems. But I still think she's a great mom. There are far worse things one can be than a germ-phobe, at least IMO.
And Jon is adorable.
I loved when he put on the like, gladiator suit or whatever it was, and Leah ran away.

haha, yeah. She was like "tell Daddy he's weird" and Leah was like "you're weird."
She is so cute. I thought that was really nice that they let each kid have a day alone with the parent/s.
I love that the sextuplets are now speaking well enough to tell their own stories and talk to the camera. They are so adorable. The little interviews with Joel and Leah were too cute...and then their comments about each other's stories.
They really are well behaved children, and it's so nice to watch a show where the kids aren't out of control.
Yeah, the show is much more entertaining now that they're talking coherently. They say really funny stuff.
Yeah, like the "I have a weiner. Daddies have weiners" said on Monday night.
Loving the wedding episode on right now!

Joel McHale on the Soup showed a montage of the wife totally being a bitch and then predicted that next season the show will be retitled "Jon Minus Nine."
Well, it's a lovely episode tonight.

Tonight's episode was beautiful! I'm glad Kate was able to relax and just ignore the kids "meandering" during the ceremony. I can't believe how much the kids have grown up already.
Just finished watching it on the West Coast here. Nice wedding, and the kids sure looked cute enough, but seriously...they have got to address Maddie and her brat issues.
It seems to me that Jon and Kate really don't like to show their emotions in front of people. The way they were dancing at their "wedding" looked like 2 teenagers who just met and one of them asked the other to dance. As far as Maddie- well, I hope they have a therapist available in the future! I just think Alexis looked adorable! (don't get me wrong- I love watching this show- it's just that sometimes they seem awkward with each other- note the body language when they are talking to the camera)
I agree, but it could having something to do with the way Kate manages to put down, scold or nag her husband every time he opens his mouth. Every time they are in that interview chair she corrects his memory of something, or his use of grammar. I think he is always hesitant around her because of that.
justme- I can totally agree with you on that! I think Maddie is her "mini-me". She certainly does like being right all the time!
This thread had me watching youtube clips of the show. WOW. Well, Kate did say that watching how she treats her husband on the show has been something of a revelation, and she apologizes to him as they watch.
All the kids look like mini-Jons, and some of their behavior is very Kate. Aaden is so damn funny, how he does the parenting sometimes.
I saw this story link on the Fark.com site today and had to laugh...I agree with this guy's assessment completely!

I don't know why I love this show, but I do. Maddie is obviously starved for attention and she can be a little nightmare. I love the rest of the kids, especially the boys.
I feel like Kate's softened in recent episodes. And I'm glad we got to see their wedding footage. It shows them really and truly in love and Jon actually looks happy.
And I think Jon is kind of hot.

I am absolutely in love with this show, and I think that despite having 8 kids, Jon and Kate are actually one of the healthiest and normal couples I've seen on TV. Despite Kate's eccentricities I can understand her wanting to keep the kids safe and clean, one kid hurt or dirty is a chore, but eight kids? Yikes. I hope the show continues for a while, I'd love to see the kids grow up and how they all interact and different ages, its easily one of the best and most enjoyable shows on television and will continue watching it until it stops.
Also, I appeared on the Sesame Place episode. (wink wink)
If someone is THAT obsessed with having their kid clean at all times (and she is)...that person should never have had eight kids.

Or they should consider seeking treatment for their OCD...
I LOVE TLC!!!
