"picnic sounds good(not like im planing on going)but the bring your own sounds chhep and old lady-ish to me"

Spoken, of course, by someone who won't be doing the planning, the cooking, or footing the bill.

i thought part of the point of making it a picnic was so more people could attend ? if youre going to exclude people from it for age, it might as well be a bar again...

i dont think that really young kids should come out to meet strangers but I think someone who is 16 or 17 (the age really depends on the kid) could decide for themselves if they want to show up at a park and let them argue it out with their parents instead of the 'adults' here.

ive certainly met atleast 5 people from here of varying ages at the broadway show league games!

re: Jose - How About .....

I have to agree that my vision of a picnic tended to be inclusive in nature.

re: Jose - How About .....

PICNIC is a great idea.

Don't get your panties twisted, ladies, any more than they might already be.

Like the ball game, the picnic is open to any bww.com member (and their parents).

The adults can continue to picnic after the BroadwayWorldKids have fallen to sleep.

Geez, can't anybody take a joke!

I already have a section of the Park selected.

Next order of business: date. Weeknight or Weekend?

My vote is a Thursday night (though not this one or next one)

re: Jose - How About .....

weekend vote from the NW contingent... a couple of weeks notice would make attendance a little more likely...

I second Iflit's choice of date - June 19 or 26.

Iflit, you've had some very nice ideas. Now, if Mr. Roxy can put me up on his couch that night.......

Anyone from the DC area want to come along?

re: Jose - How About .....

I'll be in NYC from around June 23 to August 6. Can we do it sometime then? Please? re: Jose - How About .....

A picnic sounds like a ton of fun!

re: Jose - How About .....

I just glanced at the calendar and noticed that June 19 is Father's Day. Could be a problem.

re: Jose - How About .....

OK. June 26th. No rain date.

re: Jose - How About .....

Jose--there are rules about large gatherings in Central Park. I'm not certain a picnic of more than 10 people is allowed without a permit. Although i'd like to see several members here behind bars, and several others in handcuffs (never mind...), someone should know the law.
