alright, i just found this thread and the general consensus seems to be: josh groban- good voice, no acting talent
wicked-some ok songs, but on the whole kinda horrible, although i personally love the cd. anyway, i think i'm gonna have to agree with the majority. josh's voice would definitely be wasted as fiyero.
I agree with you sir. He is a mighty fine catch....at least I could listen to him sing all day, if all else fails.
oh, I hope my post didn't come across as angry. I wasn't mad at all at the suggestion. I've even gotten most of the Wicked bashing out my system during this year. I was looking at the possiblity realisitcally and just think it wouldn't turn out too well. IMHO the role of Fiyero needs a very good actor to pull it off passably, to work around the script problems and avoid the inherent awkwardness in it. This is of course a double-edged sword because I also think the role is a waste of a good actor. Anyway, I dig Groban and wouldn't mind his pipes joining the musical theatre world (which I'm sure they will once his looks start to fade or his popularity wanes). But if the man doesn't get some acting lessons, his roles will be limited.
