I love Karen Ziemba but I think you should have posted this on the regular message board. It is not off-topic.
MAN, I haven't been on the off-topic board in weeks. I'm so pleased to see that Karen's still on the first page. Now she's at the top.
Love ya, KZ!!!!!!!
She certainly is, Blonde!
Wonder if you're the only BWW'er who saw LEADING LADIES. Tell us about the show!
wow, where to start. First off, I thought it was a great production. The actors really seemed to be having fun with the material, and the audience response was great that night. I think it was most noticeable with John Astin, as a doctor who proclaims thoroughly alive people dead, and as the wooer of fellow actor JD Cullum(dressed as a woman) toward the end of the play. Patrick Kerr I find very funny in an understated way, though the material didn't really give him much to work with. Charlotte Rae(first off I had NO idea she was that short) was a kick. though she did do a lot of dead pan type things, which I think in terms of the character worked. Lacey Kohl is very convincing as the dumb blonde(and I meant that as a compliment), plus her Marlon Brando impression in my opinion was pretty dead on. Ian Kahn is adorably handsome, and finally karen. She just seems so warm hearted on stage, and very believable as a person who can really connect the audience with the character. Which to me is something that always attracts me to performers. My only quips as a whole are that a lot of the time they didn't hold for audience applause, and a few times I think they broke character, but not in anything incredibly noticeable or that deviated from the action. As far as the script goes, most of it was predictable, and to me the ending seemed very rushed and like Ludwig just needed a way to end it. You weren't really able to enjoy some of the action that happened toward the end of the show. Though I did love that it entwined Twelfth Night into it, being one of my favorite plays. Even with it's flaws, I loved it, and reccomend it to anyone looking for a good laugh.
well, that isn't one of my better reviews as I'm a bit muddled tonight, but hopefully it was sufficient. :)

Ken Ludwig's agent sent a script of the show to our theatre -they are trying to get regional theatres to do it, since there are no plans for Broadway. We're considering it for next fall.
In the finale, the cast performs a seven-minute version of TWELTH NIGHT, all choreographed to Leonard Bernstein's Overture to CANDIDE.
Karen with Tara Young at the Stroman tribute:
Great rack. I'd do 'er.
Put it back, Jaily. She's a married one.
*sigh* You never let me have ANY FUN!
Not with her I don't.
Hey hey, I think everyone needs to watch the way they talk about my Karen. She looks simply marvelous. I'm so glad she's back in town!
BUBBLE!!!!!!!!!
"Everyone" means YOU, Jailyard boy.
oh, now I'm a BOY?
A very cute one.
Actually the everyone was meant to mean Jaily and anyone else who wanted to make a comment about Ziemba physical attributes.
Jaily, I miss you so!
The other day I ran into Ms. Ziemba waiting for the elevator at my office building. I stared at her for a minute, trying to remember what department she worked in, while she looked at me and realized I only half-recognized her. That must happen to her a lot because she looks so down-to-earth and friendly.
Then I realized who she was and said, "I've been trying to remember what department you worked in and I just realized you don't work in a department at all!"
She put out her hand and said, "Hi, I'm Karen. What's your name?"
We had a lovely chat and then the elevator came and we chatted a little more in the lobby and then she said, "Well, it was nice meeting you" and we went our separate ways.
I missed her instantaneously. She seemed SO nice.
But I wasn't being MEAN! She really DOES have purty boobies!!
I miss you tremendously as well, Bubble.
