We can say all we want about the Kardashians and how they don't deserve anything they have gained since the sex tape, and they don't, but I have to point out that Kanye is supremely talented even if that talent comes wrapped up in the package of a crazy narcissist. He's hardly the first crazy creative artist and he will hardly be the last.

The Times did a long piece on him in its The Visionaries series this week.

Jordan, well, tell that to E! and to every entertainment magazine in America.

Why exactly is she a whore? It's not her fault the tape got leaked in the first place, and she has been known to only engage in committed relationships.

And even if you don't consider her a star, what about Kanye? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of his music, but he's still a star.

Namo, I think it was James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem who said that Kanye West was the real rock star of his generation because he is crazy talented and does not seem to be as scared for PR disasters or saying the wrong thing as his other contemporaries, who seem to follow the direct orders of their publicists. He is definitely talented and frustratingly in his own world at all times but I feel like you cannot take one without the other at this point.

all that jazz- Honestly, casually saying an NBA player is gay and had a beard, phony marriage with his life would have made news in the sports world especially when Jason Collins had not come out but there was a lot of talk of a player coming out. Maybe Humphries is gay but there were also reports that Kim's post-Reggie Bush relationship had her going after athletes. None of that relationship had an honest moment, regardless, and largely it is due to it being on Kim's end. People still don't know what to make of the Kanye relationship because of how her life is dedicated to this one specific persona on reality TV, a forum that nobody finds honest or real.

Kanye's a talented artist, despite being a narcissist megalomaniac. Kardashian contributes nothing to society, except for now being the birthing vessel of Kanye's offspring. Who knows what the future holds for this kid. Declaring it "American royalty" is ridiculous.

That title is taken by Beyonce.

I don't watch a lot of reality televison, but I do love celebrity culture, specially that of the 20th century. Socialites, just like playboys have always been a part of America's culture and have always ejoyed the media coverage, just look at Barbara Hutton for example.

Strummergirl, I'm not saying the rumors were true, but there certainly were rumors.

This shows how little you know. She was the one who leaked her own sex tape so she could become as famous as her friend, Paris Hilton.

I rarely have time to watch her show anymore, and I'm not a huge fan of hers, but I'm a fan of her accomplishments. I wouldn't pay thousands of dollars to have her host my event, but I think it's a huge accomplishment that people do.

She has done nothing noteworthy but increase her wealth. She does no notable philanthropic work. She has no distinctive talent or ability. She had to do nothing for her fame and success.

OHMYGOD. That has to be one of the stupidest comments posted on the Internet.

Madame Clinton is a global icon.
Coco Chanel is a global icon.

KK is not. She may be famous, but she has done nothing to make herself famous. I can't stand her and I've never watched any of her shows. I don't find her life admirable. I don't find it worthy.

If she spent half of what she's worth on anything except herself, then I may like her. She could be donating her time and money, not to mention what little name she has, to worthy causes but instead, she shops and has sex with people.

I hope she already has a good shrink for her son. He's gonna need it.
