Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:06amDo you know who my mother was?! She played Dorothy in A Star Is Born!!!
#26Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:13amIs anyone watching her on Letterman? He is asking question after question about Judy, for chrissake. She very graciously brought the conversation back to why she was there by saying, "You know, there's a story I wish I could have told her - about this show." (meaning Liza With a Z)
#27Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:13amOn Letterman right now.
#28Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:20amThis number is classic. I love it!

Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:22amAdorable. Not exactly Fred Ebb, but cute.

Why is everyone so bloody critical?
Is she a flake? Yes! Is she an endearing flake? Yes!
I am not a huge fan but thought she was charming on Letterman and I think he genuinely likes her. I wish her well and good health.
#32Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:36amI thought she gave a great interview, and a wonderful musical number. She can still sell a song-and when I saw her tonight in person she looked much better without makeup than she did on Letterman. And thinner too.

Well, the camera adds weight - who knows that better than you and I, Jane?
And whoever did her makeup was way heavy-handed. She still looked good though.
#34Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:44amYeah, I think her makeup man used a trowel-really! I swear she looks better sans makeup, but they do have to recreate the Liza look every time she's in public. She looked and sounded very clear minded-not like she appeared on Larry King.
#35Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:46amI didn't see Larry King - I thought she was fantastic tonight, pulling him back on topic.
#36Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:48amWell, being the kind of interviewer Larry is, you could hardly blame her-she seemed a little confused. I'm not sure who's fault it was-Larry's or her condition that night.

I can't stand Larry King.
Not a big fan of Letterman either. CBS's oldest page? That was supposed to be funny? I just sat there, staring, wondering when the fun was going to start, cursing Liza for forcing me to sit through the tripe before her.
#38Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:52amI never liked Letterman. I don't think there's a funny cell in his body. I only watched to see Liza. Then I had to switch to Leno to see Rebecca.
#39Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:54amOoo I like Rebecca! Now you tell me. Damn.
#40Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 12:56amRebecca Romeijn. She's engaged to my friend's son, and actually talked about my friend in the interview with Leno.

That would be because your friend's son is a famous actor.
Do you think she'll hyphenate again?
#42Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 1:00amThat's a good question..it makes for a pretty long last name though.
#43Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 1:01amTrue. I have to say she and her first husband were one of my favorite couples ever - they always seemed to be having so much fun. I was sad when they split.
#44Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 1:04amYeah, we were talking about Rebecca and John being a fabulous power couple back in the day. They became close friends of Howard Stern and his gal. Then when they split, I don't think either of them stayed friendly with Stern. Especially Rebecca since Stern always makes fun of Jerry. Oy, I have to go to bed, will you be around this weekend?
#45Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 1:05amno sex? well, with a few marriages under her belt and her fame, she obviously would have no problem finding it. somehow, i assume her future partner will have some... expectations. how long can someone like her possibly remain celebate?
#46Who were we discussing?
Posted: 4/1/06 at 1:17amYes, Jane, I will.

Jerry O'Connell.
A beefy stud about whom I have heard rumors is not 100% straight. Ironically I heard the same rumors about John Stamos.
