I've seen the paper and HD screenshots - you can NOT make out a name. And even if you could, without them SHOWING it to us, it's just a prop - doesn't mean the article means anything. (No way are they intending to keep this a mystery and yet give a clue they KNOW the itnernet community would find out but no the rest of the viewing public).
On the other hand - John Lantham = John Locke maybe?

Posted: 5/28/07 at 2:27pmI understand the skepticism about the clip. You're probably right, it still is an extra clue that may or may not be valid. What if it's Michael? He is from New York and has a teenaged son. He could have changed his identity when he came back to the United States, after all, for all intents and purposes he was already dead.

Posted: 5/28/07 at 9:13pmCould be Michael I guess -- let's speculate on what "the mistake" they made was...? My guess is they didn't trust Ben and should have -- and that's who is in the coffin...

They did kind of imply that it was Ben... not in any specific lines but just the way Kate and Jack talked about it... But if it turns out it is Ben, that wouldn't be a very big reveal.
If it was Michael, someone would have come to see him... Ben's the only person I can think of who would have had a viewing where no one came.

Posted: 5/28/07 at 9:59pmThat is a good theory... since everyone on the island is starting to hate him. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
