"And I want someone to rewrite the lyrics of "Children and Art" to be about After Eight, but it ain't gonna happen, not in this lifetime, Phyl."
What's the prize if I did that?

A Bottom who knew how to be a top.

It was on my mind last night, but I couldn’t figure out a way to do the idea justice. In a couple of minutes, I came up with this, but it’s so rudimentary.
You wouldn’t like him
The rest of us would
After, he makes things
After, they're good
Just as you said from the start
Snobs and their art
Snobs and their art
You should be happy
After, you’re blue
What do we do?
You should have seen it
It was a sight
After, I mean it
All color and light
You don't understand what it was
But, After, the things that he does
They twinkle and shimmer and buzz
You wouldn’t like them
It...
Him...

Growl, you do know that "old fart" rhymes with "and art", right?

Posted: 2/6/15 at 3:24pmThe notion of "masculinity" is so 20th Century. Remember when "masculine" men didn't cry, weren't into the arts, didn't change diapers or help out with housework? Remember when women all loved to cook and sew, didn't know anything about cars or football, and would rather die than be seen without their makeup? Being a top or bottom has no more to do with it than whether you like football or cooking. How other people want to define me is really none of my business.

I must be remembering wrong. Or maybe the only clear meal memory that wasn't cheeseburger pizza was a certain famous instrumentalist's roast chicken.
I do remember almost losing my mind making hamburgers. What did you make?

Some quinoa thing. It was admittedly half-assed. This year will be different.
Weren't there tacos at some point? And also homemade popsicles!
God I want it to be July.

Oh, oh, I totally remember that now.
There were tacos, but I don't remember who was responsible. And there were popsicles, but I didn't have any.
Maybe I should start planning the meals now.
I'm so happy about the group this year (at least, as it now stands). I'm sad about two particular no-shows -- the same ones as last year -- but, yes, July can't come fast enough. July is such a bottom!!!!!!!!

What does he DO, exactly? One time I saw him--at the opening night of THE SEAGULL, of all the damn things--and he was chewing gum in a very Pink Lady kind of way and reeking of Axe Body Spray-level douchiness.
But seriously, what does he do all day?

I'm at my straightest acting when I squat down to do something and show the world my ass crack.
Also, straight guys aren't acting straight when they watch football, they're gayer than geese.

It's not so much say what you like
As it is that you say what you hate."

What a dreadful thing to be a cenobite, to be completely dedicated to the joy of hating everything and the pleasure of misery.
It's like an orgasm of blackflies and ground glass. Sure, it's an orgasm, but...
