Huh. Not surprised, just not something I ever gave much thought to before. He was my best friend's favorite. Then again, she also had a crush on Anderson Cooper, so she doesn't exactly have the best track record.

Now we just need to know which Backstreet Boy is gay and we will be all set.
My vote's for Howie. Interestingly enough, I had this conversation over the weekend already.

And the rest listed are gay celebrities, not 19 year old boy band members who rely on being crush material for their livelihood.

Sorry, but it's tough to come out in the public eye. More people should do it, but there is still a stigma attached unless you are already known for being gay.

Ellen was braver, perhaps, but Lance is okay too.

in fairness to her, her career pretty much consisted of "married with children." prior to that her biggest role had been "fright night" which came 2 years before "married." she came out in the middle of "married's" run in 1993 on national coming out day and followed her announcement by hosting "out there 2" in 1994. i always liked that li'l chicken winged harpy.

They are all brave and commendable-everyone's journey is personal, unique and private. :)

One of my fave tv moments is Bearse on "MWC" screaming at the top of her lungs, "STEVE, WHY DOES HE KEEP CALLING ME A CHICKEN?" with her back arched, arms back and head wobbling. It's a classic and makes me cry everytime I see it.

Still what? Doodle you seem like a nice guy but what does "still" mean. Even if he has motives based on his carreer, so what? He has come out in the most public way possible. No matter how potentially beneficial this could be for his carreer, it's still a brave act.

Re Mr. Cooper he has been seen at many gay bars/clubs in NYC. I wonder if he will have the guts to come out or will CNN tell him to shut up given all the money they have invested in him.

I think he is a bore.

Re this issues, good for Lance and let's hope he does something positive for those who have troubles, fears to take a similar step.

Justin Timberlake is too white trash and dull to be gay.

What about Ricky Martin? His career is in shambles and he needs some sort of boost.
