Did Larry, or anyone else, consider that with her son's situation being what it is, the subject matter may have hit too close to home and, ultimately, proven too emotionally upsetting a project for her to tackle?

Gee Larry maybe you could write something new rather than sitting on your laurels. Being optioned without actual production happens to writers all the time. Stop whining.

^So true. New writers get so excited when their book (or play) gets optioned, when in reality most never go anywhere. All an option is is a bookmark...saving your place to go forward.
Just because she didn't make THIS movie, doesn't make her a hypocrite.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
