I just returned from Lauren's Cabaret tonight.
I loved it once again, and thought I would bump a Lauren thread for the giving of accolades.
Broadway.com has a little article on Lauren Molina, and as many of you know I am very enamored with her, so I wanted to share.
(goodness I had some trouble making this work.)

Aw, pengy, have you got a little crush?
Make that two crushes!
sp, turned me on (pun fully intended) to Lauren and now I am fixated as well.
She is indeed a fresh face!
It is true.

I'm a Michigan girl, too! But nowhere near as cool, sadly.
She sounds really nice and that photo of her is absolutely gorgeous!
She's so pretty!
Aww I'm loving Lauren, Sweeney is one of my most often played cast recordings. I'm so excited to finally see the show live on Saturday! She seems quite lovely and her voice is nothing short of amazing. I usually don't like Johanna, but she made me love the character and the music written for Johanna.
Dear Lauren:
Thank you for taking vacation this week and not last.

She made Green Finch and Linnet Bird listenable for me. And she's pretty.
I totally thought this thread was going to be about Noxema.
I third ( or fourth?) that crush.

Yay for Michigan girls, especially the fact that she's from Troy. That just made my city a teensy bit cooler.

I LOVE her!!! She is SO talented and sweet!
When I stage doored, she told this girl and me about how there was a guy who had sent her an email(I think it was) and said nothing but bad things about her performance. He said that her facial expressions were stupid and distracting and he couldn't understand how Doyle continues to let her get away with it.
Can you believe that!? How pathetic is it that someone has enough time to send hate mail like that?
The show was great.
Lauren sang "Waiting for the Tide", "The Rollerskate Song", and "I'm Okay" along with several covers mainly of Broadway songs.
Jason Reichel got to sing one of his song, that ended with a bit of "Here comes the Sun"
Micelle Ricci and Natalie Ross sang as usual, I would like to hear more of them.
Nick Cearley did his fabulous "80's medley"= if you get the chance I highly recommend his performances.
Mano sang and played, Donna Lynne played on a song, and Dianna was in attendance.
It was another grand night.
The show was great fun indeed. She has a beautiful voice; more beautiful than I think is even displayed in Sweeney.
Indeed they were.
I agree about this showing off Lauren's voice more than Sweeney.
That was the one thing I loved most the first time I saw her at Nick's cabaret, seeing just how much vocal range she has.
What I liked best is that she sounds just as great on pop as she does on legit musical theater.
She has a fantastic vocal range. It's always a pleasure to see her show off her amazing "belt".
And she's so adorable.
I really liked the song she sang with Michelle Ricci - was it "Surrounded"?
Double post.
Ooo, it sounds like everyone had a great time!
I know I did.
The "belt" is awesome.
The song was "Surronded", I love it when the two of them do the Angry Girl Dou, I think they should release a whole album of just that.
I would buy 5.
Ooh, I'd buy that album, too.
And, yeah, I had a really great time.
