There's an article on the front page of EW.com today with a GREAT theory by Doc Jensen. It's a tidbit at best, but it makes a lot of sense.
Who else is excited for next Wednesday???
UGH I still need to get season 4 on DVD. DAMNIT.

It's been way too long since the finale. I've been forcing all of my friends to watch the past 4 seasons to get my fix. It's working...ish. So apparently this season there's gonna be a lot less flashbacks AND flashforwards...whoa.
It seems this season will be a lot of time travel - which means who knows WHAT we'll be getting!
It HAS been too long since Season 4 - I wish they'd give us a normal season, but if this is the way the show will stay strongest, then I guess we have to put up with it.

less then a week away... aaaah... the excitement is too much! tv.ign.com has a very non spoilerish review up...
I got into LOST over the summer and borrowed the DVD's from my best friend who talked the show up and down. It was like crack I couldn't get enough. Thats pretty bad because I got a HUGE bite from thr 24 bug as well, so those are my two Dramas I currently watch. I am SOO excited for this new season.
So excited! I've been catching up with the past seasons on abc.com since before Christmas in preparation. I've never bought any of the DVDs, so it's the first time I've seen most of the episodes since they first aired.
All I needed was to watch the hour after American Idol last night to get me pumped for next week again. Anyone have any crazy theories they cooked up over the long break?

I haven't got any theories but I DO have a list of things you should do to celebrate the return of LOST:
-Spend 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 or 42 dollars
-Fly to Oahu and get back in time for the premiere
-Put on a fake beard and say you're an Other
-Eat Ranch dressing
-Possess a gun. That's it
-Kill something (or someone) that's getting in the way
-Visit your local asylum
-Play backgammon (for Locke fans) or play chess with Mr. Eko
-Get bit by a paralyzing spider
-Blame something on fate
-Have a baby...but don't die
-Do the Kate, Jack, Sawyer or Juliet "look"
-Buy an over-sized panda and name it Ji Yeon
-Steal the little boy who lives next-door
-Play some golf (You can chose whether or not you kill the man who drives the golf cart)
-Wear an eye patch, talk in a Russian accent and consistently come back to life
-Run up and down the steps of your local stadium/arena
-Drink MacCutheon Whiskey...or applicable substitute
-Go up to a stop sign and write DHARMA on it
-Go check out the polar bears at your local zoo
-Become a heroin addict and sing "You All Everybody"
-Send out a distress call in French
-Time-travel
-Put a baby inside a piano
-If you get scared, count to 5
-Perform either a spinal tumor or an appendix removal (With patient's consent)
-Say "Brotha!", "Dude!", "MY BABY!", "WALT!", "DAD!", or "Freckles" at some point
-Sleep with your step-sibling
-Play the "numbers" in the lottery
-Kill your stepfather (Who ends up being your father)
-Stop aging
-Roll around in a wheelchair
-Have a flash-back, flash-forward, hell even have a flash-sideways!
-Attempt to kill yourself - but be unsuccessful (TIP: Plan ahead!)
-Con someone
-Talk to everyone you know in nickname language
-Release toxic gas and purge everyone at your location of choice
-Whisper mysteriously all day long
-Paint the number 15 on a white rabbit
-Avoid any sort of black smoke
-Find your constant
-Push someone you know through a window 8 stories from the ground
-Act out a slow moving emotional montage (LOSTage) that mimics the ends of many episodes
-Eat peanut butter with your finger
-Commit a crime and then run
-Have a romantic picnic-but forget the blanket
-Set your alarm clock to go off at 1:08 or every 108 minutes
-End the 7:00PM hour on a cliffhanger
Very funny! Only a true fan would get all of those (I'm not ashamed to say I do)

so did anyone watch the extras for season 4? i love the featurette about who has the guns... quite hilarious..
The gun featurette was great and something really cool...the guy who does the music for Lost, Michael Gichannio(I spelled his name wrong and am too lazy to look it up) grew up near my town and when I was in high school and in the musicals he played in the pit...I can't wait for next Wed.
One thing that sucks at school they surf controlled ew.com so I won't be able to read Doc Jensen's recap until I get home and not on my prep on Thursday morning like I usually do...they also blocked this website as well and every kind of broadway website...they suck
Violet, try vtunnel.com or something similar.
I've lucked out at work so far -- they've gotten rid of youtube and any social networking site, but I'm still on BWW here and I can get Doc Jensen's recap. For a couple of weeks last year we couldn't get on ANYTHING but I think the the tech guy got sick of everyone asking for passwords to get through to sites that were blocked and opened everything that wasn't one of the above mentioned sites again.
On EW today (not to rub it in Violet), there's a "15 shows we can't wait to return" article, and Lost is the first mentioned. Some interesting teasers for what's to come this season - looks like we'll be back wrapping our brains around what it all means again soon.
Weird.

I don't want to see that! I'm not looking!!! I've been doing my best to avoid anything more than teasers (which is why I trust EW - they usually don't do actual spoilers) for this season.
I asked if they were going to unblock certain sites and our tech guy said ALL entertainment sites are blocked due to our internet not being able to handle streaming video...which is a crock of crap...they blocked bbc.com as well...
Jason my willpower was low tonight so I watched the clips...nothing too revealing and I am getting ready to read ew now...can't wait till Wed night
THat's just stupid -- you can READ ew.com and save videos for home. Violet - if you get along with the guy, ask if there's a password you can have so YOU can get on EW.com. When everything was blocked, our guy gave me the password to get on sites I wanted to.

gaaah.. the excitement is killing me as well!
I will literally be on a plane to New York City for grad school auditions. SO not cool.
Is it bad that my first thought when I woke up this morning was "Yay, Lost is on tonight!"
I'm glad I'm not the only one who looks at it as more than just another television show - it's more like a favorite novel that you can't wait to get to the end of, but take it piece by piece to relish the story as it unfolds.

jasonf..... the last thing i thought about when i went to be was LOST and then i woke up i thought... LOST is on tonight! haha... this is going to be a loooooong day for me!
The funny thing is, I remember when the show first started and they were running the previews for it I thought "Well, maybe it'll be OK - Gilligan's Island meets Survivor - I'll give it a shot." Little did I know, but by the end of the first hour when the pilot gets torn out of the plane (and we STILL don't know why that happened though we know it was Smokey, right?) I was going to like it. Once Walkabout came on, two weeks later, I was COMPLETELY hooked for the rest of the series. For those who say they never answer anything, just look at how much further we've come since that first season -- even though there's still so much we don't know yet. Amazingly, the seemingly complex story telling of the flashbacks (which I'm not even sure ARE flashbacks any more - they could be the people temporarily time traveling a la Desmond) seems almost obvious compared to the stuff they've thrown at us since!
Just 8/1/2 more hours(not counting the review episode)...
