Yes she is hard on people's appearances, but she knows her stuff. Plus she has been upfront that yes she tells many women and men that they are overweight, have bad hair, or dress poorly, but these people are being set up with a millionaire.
Patti knows that she would win no beauty contests but she is not being put before a millionaire. She expects that if you are being set up with a wealthy, powerful intelligent person you need to have your A game going and cocktail dresses and dry damaged hair dont cut it. She also does alot of work on the millionaires too. She really knows her stuff about courting and finding a mate-plus she's entertaining.

It makes me sick. I also find her to only pick women under 30 and under 110 pounds. It is ok for the men to be fat, ugly and dumb but the women have to be skinny, young etc.
It makes me angry and I turned it off. I think they need another program for single women who are not 100 pounds, 5'11 and blonde. You would also think the millionaire would also want smart, funny and interesting. The millionaire men I see on that show are not attractive nor are they interesting. Money is not what makes me tick and I find it annoying. Patti is not attractive and neither is the man with the hair that looks like he stuck his hand in a socket.

And...though I am ashamed to say that I watched "Farmer wants a Wife", I do remember a fat girl named Josie with dyed hair...then I saw her on this show and Patti said that she was always trying to crash parties and I LOVED when she told her that she wasn't their type.
I also remember the guy known as "Sex-Toy Dave" and then he was on "Megan wants a Millionaire" but you all know what happened there...Thanks dude who killed yourself and your GF!!! That was my guilty pleasure this summer!

Also, she is very hard on the men when there is a female millionaire. She tells them they are fat, need hair plugs or hair cuts or dress badly. She's not sexist-shes an equal opportunity disser.
Please also keep in mind that there are lots of people out there ready to be objectified in order to date a millionaire. She doesn't force these people to deal with her scrutiny.

It is called E-Harmony and JDate.
While I would never qualify for the show, I do find Patti trying to push the millionaires to focus on more than looks when picking women to date. I was more offended by some of the millionaires who think just because they have money, they get to play mind games with the women. The men seem to be a little douchey.
Occasionally there is a nice guy who really is either awkward or lacking social skills, and I think then Patti provides a pretty good service.

I think I will give up on men and get a few terriers and be done with it.
PS I don't consider myself average but I could lose some weight and because of an accident I have to wear sneakers and or flat shoes which I HATE. I wore five inch heels before I broke my ankle and now I am part of munchkin land. I miss my heels but it is not worth it as it hurts!

Being a short gay male is worse and we can't wear heels! LOL

That couple with THAT hair!!!???
And I don't know why I love the VP of the company, she is a total bitch to Patti, she asks for raises, and yet she gets to keep her job. Her new "do" looks awful too.

And what about the 2 best friends that only want to double date? Weirdos!

The premise offends me "MILLIONAIRE" matchmaker. Being rich is the defining characteristic of a "good catch" on this show. Doesn't matter if he's weird, as long he has money. And the client doesn't just want to meet a man and be happy, she wants a dude with $$$$. She just needs to be young, hot and a good arm ornament. Consider the ego factors involved. I have money: I am desireable. I am beautiful: I deserve a man with money. Ick.
Whatever, it's show business, but these aren't people I would want to know in real life.
Which brings us back to Corine... these aren't guys YOU want to know in real life either, honey. My best advice would be to stay away from the match-making as entertainment options and go looking one on one. Match.com (et al) or Friendfinders (or Adult Friendfinders if you want to be adventurous...)
Relationships aren't about being tall or short or fashionable or wealthy. They are about clicking with one right person. He's out there. Hope you find him.

She (Patti) is a little tough on people, but I appreciate that about her.
