Posted: 6/3/07 at 10:45pmAnyone else disappointed in this show tonight? Was watching it with my teenage kids (who are both drama students). My son said he couldn't believe how almost every joke tanked. My daughter said the show sucked! Really awkward when Sarah Silverman announced that Paris Hilton was going to jail and the crowd cheered- with Paris herself sitting in the audience. You could tell that she was holding back the tears but she kept her dignity. Mostly disappointed in the bathroom humor- just NOT funny! The movie spoofs were a bit odd also. I remember a few years ago when the Brady Bunch actors spoofed the movies- it was hilarious- especially Florence Henderson in the Basic Instinct white dress scene. Where were those writers tonight?

Posted: 6/4/07 at 2:06amOh PLEASE! I laughed until it hurt when Paris got booed. Then Sarah said that they would be painting the cell bars to look like penises to make Paris feel at home and she hopes Paris didn't break a tooth. They kept the camera on Paris the WHOLE time. I know that had to be mortifying, but what did she expect? Sarah is brutal. That was the only redeeming thing about the show. They said Paris left shortly thereafter. She was supposed to have presented an award.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 2:14amShe was still in the audience when Dane Cook made a comment about her sometime later.

"I haven't left this building since Windows 3.1!"
"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!"

Posted: 6/4/07 at 2:18amThat is funny! I didn't know they were tonight. I love Sara and would have watched.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 6:42amDon't worry, Becoz. They'll replay it about 50,000+ times over the next few months. And I wish that was an exageration.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 7:19amI don't enjoy Sarah, so I refuse to watch, but the Paris Hilton joke is the 1st time I found a joke of hers funny.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 10:41amActually, Sarah hosting was the only reason I would watch it. I was out last night so I missed it but have already heard from several people that it was funny. As Kitzarina mentioned though, MTV will practically put it on a loop for the next few weeks

Posted: 6/4/07 at 10:54amdid anyone else find that sarah was making some very racisct comments...when she said rihanna's mothers name is umbrella...? she said a couple of other ones throughout the night. i did not really find it funny. i also kind of felt bad for paris...but why would she go to the awards hours before she was turning herself in?

Posted: 6/4/07 at 11:14amI feel bad for Paris too. I think she has a good heart even if she makes some bad choices. I was just watching The Simple Life and she was being so empathetic to overweight campers and it seemed very genuine. She seems very sweet. I hope she turns things around for herself.

Yes, Paris has a great heart, that's why she calls people "n*s" and "faggots"
Silverman is always racist, but against everyone.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 11:30amWhen did Paris use such slurs? I was not aware of anything like that. And please don't tell me "my friend's brother's sisters cousin's manicurist heard her say that." LOL.

True muscle. Silverman is an equal oppurtunity offender.
I think she's a riot personally.
#12re: MTV Movie Awards
Posted: 6/4/07 at 11:33amI watched about ten minutes of this and then gave up. Very slapdash, the whole thing.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 11:33ammy friend's brother's sisters cousin's manicurist heard her say that on youtube, TMZ and perezhilton.com!

Posted: 6/4/07 at 11:34amI love Sarah myself. Sarah is so offensive that ultimately she ends up coming full circle and being totally harmless. It's an interesting dynamic that she pulls off well. She is a true pro with great timing. I view her more as a social commentary of people who talk like that, as opposed to actually meaning all of those things she says.

Sarah Silverman is one of the best comedians out there today. And not to mention, gorgeous!
Her stand-up, Jesus is Magic, is one of the best routines I've ever seen. Even better than Margaret Cho's, in my opinion.
I thought she did an excellent job as host. I respect her even more for being bold and taking the shots at people that she did. That is what she is KNOWN for, being crude, rude, and hella-funny while doing it.
But yet it amazes me how uptight this society still is. People need to get over themselves.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 11:56amI don't enjoy her at all, she is just offensive, but not really funny, other comedians like Joy Behar, Joan Rivers, Margaret Cho, Chelsea Handler, Lisa Lampanelli, Kathy Griffin, Whoopi or Rosie can be offensive eventually, but they are always funny.

The clip is on YouTube.
I ALMOST feel bad for Paris, but then I remember its Paris. It's hilarious, though.

Paris secretly snuck away last night for the jail.
I doubt she really cared what they said. She had a whole secret getaway plan to follow.

Sarah was my only reason for watching. Well, and Amy Winehouse (who looked ADORABLE!).

Posted: 6/4/07 at 2:12pmI just watched the Paris joke on the site. I kind of felt bad for her. Anyways the joke itself was pretty funny. Sara rules!
#21re: MTV Movie Awards
Posted: 6/4/07 at 4:53pmEverything about the show, except Sarah Silverman was horrible. Everything. One of the worst shows ever broadcast on television. Completely unfunny and non-entertaining.

Sarah: Hey, can you help me present this award?
Jenifer Hudson: No NO THERE'S NO WAY.
Sarah: Hey, I was just asking a question, no need to yell.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 7:32pmI did like the films where they put sarah in it..l.it was clever.

Posted: 6/4/07 at 8:32pmEverything about the show, including Sarah Silverman, SUCKED! A complete waste of air-time. Not even worth recording and watching in FF mode.
