I don't know if this is old news or not, but it's the first I've read about it in the news.

I just saw this too besty.
Maybe she'll start making some decent music again after she gets divorced.
Her "married period" output has sucked.
True, the Ritchie years weren't exactly banner ones creatively speaking.

Oh my god no. NO. Not those two. Anybody but those two. If they can't make it, what hope is there for any couple?
It started with a nasty argument over who has less business being in the movie industry and went downhill from there.
This just in: Farm discovered in the US that can grow red tomatoes, corn that is yellow and a new strain of bean that appears to be green.

It seems to be official...
Goodness gracious me and mine....
Wasn't it about 2 weeks ago that she was swearing up and down that she wasn't involved with that kabbalah-lovin' football player and her marriage was on firm ground?
Geez. These mega-celebrities are so fickle!
Isn't A-Rod a baseball player?
I actually think Madonna's music overall is superior from the 90s on than it was in the 80s apart from her hit singles.
Yeah, A-Rod is a baseball player, Scotty.

MODERATOR, please lock this thread as Madonna's publicist has asked us to "maintain respect for their family at this difficult time."
Thank you.
Who gets custody of her accent?
Football, baseball, whatever. You get my point.
Poor Madonna. She's got everything except conjugal bliss. And eternal youth.
Maybe she'll be allowed to speak to gay people again?
Seriously, if there's any truth to that, then I've lost a giant amount of respect for her, and won't contribute another penny to her fortune.

She'll be at the new Stadium sporting a Yankees cap.
I hope the abandoning gay friends rumor is just that. Ritchie is quoted as saying that it's awfully difficult to be homophobic when you're married to Madonna. Ritchie seems to be including a pro-gay subplot in his newest film. That rumor just doesn't ring true. If she hasn't been hanging out with friends as much, I would imagine it has way more to do with how busy things get when you are married and have children.
jerby - i'm hoping your explanation is closer to the truth. It does make sense.
I'd hate to think M turned her back on the very community that made her.
Well look how gay her shows have been! lol
Remember that photo of them with Madge holding a see-through bag with a strap-on in it?
I surely hope that Madonna spread open his horizons and drove some enlightenment home.

I'm not really sure how Rupert Everett detailing the de-gaying of Madonna's friendship circle in his autobiography can be called "a rumor," but here's a refresher:
Guy was not particularly comfortable with queens, and so it was a last call for a lot of the disco bunnies and club-mix queens who made up the fabric of Madonna's mantle.
It was a surprise, because Madonna came out of the womb blowing a disco whistle. But a whole aspect of her life was about to be hit by the delete button.
This is all beside the point however. MODERATOR, please lock this thread in accordance with Madonna's publicist's wishes that we respect her family's privacy during this difficult transaction. Excuse me, transition.
If you give Christopher's book any credence, Guy put the kibash on M's relationship with gays, as well as with Christopher himself.
I don't believe that anyone can "make" another person do anything. If she cut people off -- whether her husband encouraged it or not -- it was her choice.
Besides, Madonna does not strike me as the kind of person who just "does as she is told." Come on!

But people do change and grow as they get older, and while I'm not saying anyone can MAKE her (or anyone) do anything, I could certainly see her wanting to make her husband and father of child less uncomfortable, should his rumored homophobia be true. I'm not excusing it or saying it's right or even saying that it's true, but throwing your friends under a bus for a man is the oldest trick in the book.
