I wish I'd brought my iPod to work with me. All I want to do right now is listen to them.
Aww sorry Kringas.
Wish I could loan you mine.
As for the matter of the mistake, it just sounds like one to me.
I don't like them any less for it. I actually think they decided to be different by not being perfect (in the typical sense.) But it's just my fantasy. I need that HBO film to straighten it all out. :)
And lest anyone be confused, no Irene Papas was never a member of the group.
and after every number they'd pass the hat...
Cass is great as Witch Hazel in the Pufnstuf movie.
One way ticket take me anywhere....

DAME would be great as Mama Cass in the musical!
Welcome to the world of love and laughter baby.
Everytime I see that girl
Y'know I want to lay down and die...
But I really need that girl
Oh, I'm livin' a lie (Oh, I'm livin' a lie)
It makes me wanna cry - y - y ...

MrMidwest --- "Different is hard, Different is lonely. Different is trouble for you only. Different is heartache, Different is pain. But I'd rather be Different than be the same."
That should be a gay anthem.
And it makes me feel so good to know...she'll never leave me...
Where is Kringas?
They were a great group with awesome harmonies. Michelle P can still sing. Maybe she could do an act?
She is like a slightly older version of Kim Cattrall.
"California Dreaming" is one of the best pop songs ever.
The Mamas and the Papas, from an era when radio played music that had music AND lyrics, as opposed to hip hop and rap.
Not all rap is bad. Mary J. Blige is awesome.

"McGuin and Maquire just'a catchin' fire in LA,
Ya know where that's at.
And everybody's gettin' fat, except Mama Cass."
I loved this group-saw them in '65 when they were just getting started. Lovely harmonies and Cass Elliot's voice was like crystal and warm honey. It was a remarkable time in history, never to be repeated.
