re: Man kills himself at Ground Zero due to Bush's reelection

It's an OT board, these things take on a life of their own. Well you should make a choice. It's hypothetical. Base it on what you think is the biggest issue to you or however you choose. It's not a real election.
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

Well I just started in on this thread again so I don't even know what your question was. I'll have to reread the previous posts when I get hte chance.

re: Man kills himself at Ground Zero due to Bush's reelection

Here's my choice: I run for office and vote for myself rather than vote for either candidate.

P.S. What's the deal with Republicans and Bush sympathizers being drawn to this thread? Where's FindingNamo when you need him?

Actually I'm just all for people being able to make their points.
I can say that from the choices we were given I would pick (of course this is solely based on what was listed) the one who was pro-life because that to me is a huge issue.

Then again, this election I tried to get people to vote for Oprah and Tony Danza.
And hang on, when did you win the discus?

That's like playing the game Clue and saying, "I don't need to look for any real clues. Mr. Green is guilty because he's the only minority. Professor Plum and Colonel Mustard can't be minorities, they hold respectable titles." It's not cool. Play the game the way it is supposed to be played.

Argh, now I actually need to engage to prove to Plum that I'm smart. re: Man kills himself at Ground Zero due to Bush's reelection

(PS Evelyn, just read your post on CB - whatchoo talkin bout BWWers not accepting negative feedback? As long as we don't talk about the OBC, the music, the song list, the ages, the costumes, the director, the media reaction, the filming locations, the lip-syncing and did I say the ages? Oh, one more time. ---aside from that, we're VERy open minded here!)

LOL - A Tony Danza hijack? For real?

Okay seriously, I'm going to go back and read this thread later and add in my two cents. I need to prove myself worthy. re: Man kills himself at Ground Zero due to Bush's reelection

Tony Danza would look so cute if he fattened up. See formerly thin actors such as the guy who played Cody on Step by Step and the guy who played Balki on Perfect Strangers for evidence. There is a website devoted to this very fetish. Oinquirer, anyone?

I hope that none of the friends or family members of the pour soul who killed himself have the misfortune to stumble upon this board and see what this thread has degenerated into. Tony Danza indeed.

"Evelyn, I don't mean to be a downer...But when did you get so cool?"

That has got to be the best backhanded compliment ever.

re: Man kills himself at Ground Zero due to Bush's reelection

Good Morning, everyone.

I was just visiting another site and saw the news of this guy killing himself allegedly over Kerry not winning. I knew there would be a discussion here, so I just had to log on.

It's unfortunate that guy killed himself, and it's unfortunate he is being ridiculed on other forums.

I will remind the group here of this:

A while back I stated that if Kerry won the election, I would go to Daley Plaza (middle of Chicago) and shoot myself in the head. This statement was quickly followed by a chorus of "good ahead, asshole" and "you can borrow a gun from me" from a number of people on this forum.

How were those people ridiculing me different than people ridiculing this guy at the former location of the World Trade Center Towers?

"Can you ever forgive me?"

Awww that's too sweet. You never needed to apologize. :)

EDIT: Rodney, Daley Plaza is an interesting location since it's alternately a civic center, the location of the Farmer's Market, and a place to bum a smoke. If you were going to kill yourself over an election -- which of course, I don't advocate regardless of your political leanings -- then the Federal Plaza around the corner would probably be a more symbolic site. Or, across the street, there's a skyscraper in which six people died last year due to fire precautions not considered in the wake of 9/11...

Westopher, in order to be an "attention whore" as you so charmingly put it, a person would have to survive to know that the attention had, in fact, been recieved. There were a lot of things that guy probably was, but attention seeking was not it. You do prove yourself to be heartless again and again.

Bythesword, I am deeply curious as to how you can call yourself "pro-life" and say that that is the single issue you care about when you just voted for the President under whom abortions have actually increased? They number of abortions in the Clinton years had gone down? How do you reconcile this in your imagination? What does "pro-life" mean to a man who has presided over so many executions of living, independent beings who were outside of their mothers' wombs? Not to mention the mentally retarded man he executed?

Please, I am really interested in what your thoughts are about this.

Oh, and Rodney, we know you, we didn't know the guy who killed himself at ground zero. We can wish you would in fact kill yourself because you have shown yourself to be a hateful and horrible person. Empathy for your plight is impossible for most of us.
