Am I the only one who thinks this looks like some really cheap porn movie?

And I don't get the appeal of rock music used for costumed period-pieces.

I understand that these "kids" of royalty were the party animal brats of their day, but didn't we all learn something from Rock Me, Amadeus?

Yeah, it does look like a bad porn.

But I'll admit that I really want to go see this. It may very well crash and burn, but I think there's a possibility that it may well surprise us all. I have faith in Sofia Coppola, for the most part.

I'll give this movie a chance. It looks like it could be interesting. The lighting in the trailer reminds me of Barry Lyndon.

Lost in Translation was amazing. Hopefully Marie-Antoinette shall be equally so.

I can't wait. I've admired Kirsten Dunst's work for a while, and I hope this movie gives her career a serious push.

Can't wait to see this.
I love European history movies (love Barry Lyndon too!)
I hope it's good but if not I still have my video of the M-G-M/Norma Shearer movie. I saw the urn containing Maria Theresia's innards at Saint Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna.

As fun as it was hearing New Order's Age of Consent in the trailer, I'll probably pass and catch it when it makes it to HBO. I don't get the appeal of Sofia Coppola. Hated Lost in Translation and The Virgin Suicides. Most of all, I hate Dunst.

I don't care for Kirsten at all. The film doesn't look very appealing to me. I did, however, love A Knight's Tale's use of modern music.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

Love Kirsten.
Love the look and feel of this film.
I wanna see this movie.

I like how they end the movie before her death.

Going by some of the reviews I've read, the people who love this movie seem to really love it.

I'm with blueroses on this one. It's already got two strikes against it for me: Dunst and Coppola. And Anakela's review just might be the third strike...

I saw it last night too and unfortunately it didn't really work for me either. I have to agree with pretty much everything Anakela said. The movie seemed more like an overblown music video. For a two hour movie it seemed like there was about twenty pages or less of dialouge. It was nice to look at but that's about it.
