I think she might have a great voice - hard to tell because instead of leaving the mic on the stand and standing back from it, she felt compelled for some reason to hold it - and she couldn't hold it anywhere near far enough away. The distortion was ear-splitting.

Posted: 10/5/04 at 11:41pmI was in the city tonight, and was going to drop by the Belasco to see if I could get cheap ass tickets. Instead of going the long way (Even though he KNEW I waned to stop.), my driver just dropped me off at Hairspray. He had to go run my mom over to Golda then, so we didn't get a chance.
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.

Well, I'll write a review when I get home tomorrow. It was a very interesting show. Some things worked, some didn't. Some costumes fell off characters when they were flying, some didn't. Some stagehands came out to get them, some didn't. I actually got blood on my shirt when Tom Hewitt spit, some didn't get hit.
And no. Not one person stopped by. I even waited for a little while. I am SO unloved here.
