For all you Oz lovers, McDonalds Happy Meal Toys are to die for.

They are little Madame Alexander's Wizard of Oz dolls, and you can purchase them without getting the Happy Meal. Depending on what McDonalds you go to (I've been to three so far as each one had different dolls), they range from 99 cents to $2.60.

What is neat is that they have a Wicked Witch of the East doll (who does not appear in the movie, or course). Could this be Madame Alexander's version of Nessarose??

Is it just me, or do Madame Alexander doll freak anyone else out?

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

They kinda scare me... Seriously.

I think ALL Madam Alexander dolls scare me.

I wouldn't want to meet one of 'em in a dark alley. 'S'all I'm sayin'.

If they remind you of midgets then the munchkin figurines should be fine.

LOL. I got the Sandy and Danny set from "Grease" as a gift one Christmas. They're cute. In return I got her the Marlo Thomas as "That Girl" Madame Alexander doll.

Since I was the Coroner in the musical at my schoo, My mom found a Madame Alexander Coroner doll. It's quite cute, except the moustache and beard look a little funky. But still cute.
They actually have dolls from Wicked, it's limited to 350 or something like that. I found it in a catalog. It's Elphaba and Glinda. I don't like Elphie's dress. It's black with red. Tad unattractive.

MissChung-
Are you sure, I've searched the NYTimes website, and checked for info, and can't find that info anywhere about Meinhardt Raabe.

Yea it did...it turned REALLY dirty.

I dunno, I'm in a Wizard of Oz Yahoo group very closely linked to the Munchkins (In fact, he's a member), and we would have known very quickly.

you know what - you're right. I'm sorry, he didnt die, it was actually someone else from the movie. I got the two confused bc they were side by side on my dresser, sorry!

He is still alive and well in his retirement community. The article was from feb 18 by dan barry, in case you are interested :)

Ya know, I give McDonald's credit. I went there w/ my sister and her friend and my mom. They have really outdone themselves. They are actually not cheapie toys, as they usually give out.

The Coroner died? Oh snap.

Just kidding about the Coroner. I hadn't seen the other posts. My mom actully got an autographed picture from Jerry Maren, the green lolipop kid.
