...It's sad, but that is probably the main reason I love STP...
I do love me some Scott Weiland, but I really don't think STP has much of a cult following these days. And if they do, I agree that it's probably not deserved, since STP has put out some quality music, but definitely not enough to warrant a cult following.
As much as I love Coldplay (okay, X&Y was okay...but the other two albums I love) they are Radiohead-lite. Chris admits it though, which I don't know if that is a good or bad thing.
(And I'll have to agree that Radiohead is pretty much amazing and in my top...2 favorite bands. Beatles -> Radiohead, yeah that sounds right.)
I'd have to say something like MCR or generic emopop that's on top40 nowadays; honestly, I really don't know what is out there being in London this semester/not having a TV...
Do Fallout Boy, All American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, etc. really have a cult following? I thought bands like those only attracted scattered teens in their "emo" phases.
I love U2. I more than love U2. Everything about Bono makes me smile.
I can't stand Something Corporate and All of those other nasal-voiced punk kids that sing about their bad fathers and their unending pain due to lack of attention. Bores/ annoys the hell out of me.
i'm a tough act to follow because when i'm done i take the microphone with me.
even if you didn't like something corporate, check out jack's mannequin, there was some delay due to the kids battle with cancer, but now that he's dropped the band it's even better
