poor thing is going to have TONS of questions to answer..........they are mounting....
what? miss p's being mounted right here in the thread? my goodness, i knew my question was leading, but i didn't think it would lead to this!
Before I'd even scrolled down to see the next message, I saw Elphaba's and the word "mount" and I knew it was just the invitation papa was waiting for! Papa, being around you makes me feel so young...like I'm in 6th grade again, in fact.
keep up the flattery, girly, and i might introduce you to my "inner child."
"Best12, did I do something to offend you? Please let me know! If so, I'm so sorry"
No, toots, he didn't k now I was kidding when I gave him demerits-It's all better now!
It's hard to think of q question since I know so much already. Let's see-OK miss movie buff-who would play you in YOUR movie biography and into what genre would the film fit and finally who would direct?
P.S. Don't bother answering Tiff's questions until after feeding time at the zoo is over. She's busy at the trough!
Congratulations! Very deserving. :)
If you could master any sort of language/dialect what would it be? "Why" is optional as I do understand that "why" takes a bit of thought and extra energy to type. (Yes, those keys can in fact get VERY far apart if typing something very long...)
stop it, you're both getting me hot....all this talk of mounting.....
Sorry I had to interrupt the most important day of my life for WORK! As Moonie suggested, I told everyone at work that I was BroadwayWorld.Com Message Board Celebrity of the Day and people looked at me with a mixture of disinterest and "big effing deal." (It's okay. That's how it always is.)
I have a lot of 'splaining to do, so I better get started on these questions.
Boobs, if I could interview one person dead or alive, I would probably choose Thich Nhat Hanh. I would ask him questions about human suffering and how best to help alleviate suffering in ourselves and in the world. I would ask him about finding the balance between "attachments" like my family and freinds and freedom from suffering. I would ask him for advice on living in a capitalist society with non-capitalist values and how best to cope. (An ongoing internal conflict of mine.) Finally, I would ask him about his inspirations and artistic preferences.
On a lighter note, I would also like to "probe" George Clooney.
6th grade is not a compliment! That was the grade that Michael Anastasio was always making really embarrassing, sexual remarks all the time. I HATED him!
But I'm over it now.
Somms,
I never liked cheese steaks. When I wanted food like that, I ate lunch from the trucks parked all around University City! Otherwise, I went to restaurants in Philly that served really good food. (Not that cheese steaks are "bad"...to the people who LIKE them. )
I definitely like my pretzels with.
And I like krimpets...although I haven't had them in years and years and years because they are SO unhealthy! (They're good with a big glass of cold milk thought. Mmmm.)

KRIMPETS!!!!
I almost bought a box yesterday at the PathMark - you can't get them in CA, and I loved them as a kid - but I stopped myself, 'cause I knew I'd eat the whole box and regret it.
OK, Miss P - What's your dream vacation? Money being no object, of course.
Okay, Mom, here goes:
1. Favorite Cookie: It's a long story--heartwarming too--but if I tell it here, people will be all "This little tale is so sweet, it's pathetic." So, someday. But the cookies are what I refer to as "Marie Angione's Cookies." I used to make them as a little girl with my friend and her very Italian mother. I still make the cookies and I still see Marie whenever she visits from Florida. She's 84 and I love her like a mother.
2. Hero as a child: Wow. I had so many. I guess I have to say my parents because they were such an interesting couple--a Scott and Zelda in their own way. My mother was strikingly gorgeous (and smart and artistic and loving). My father was a fashion designer and partner in an upscale restaurant in NYC, but a deeply private, modest and generous man. They were wonderful people who took us kids to the theatre ALL THE TIME. That's where my love of theatre comes from.
Both of my parents died too young and tragically. I miss them everyday.
3. Favorite Book as a Child: Catcher in the Rye. I loved it so much that I shared it with my friends in school and it was really popular. Then, one day, Sister Herbert saw someone reading it after a math test, charged down the aisle, ripped it out of his hands and said, "THAT is a dirty book." This, of course, made EVERYONE read it!
4. Way to spend a rainy Saturday: Besides being on the BWW Message Board, you mean? Watching a movie, reading, playing games with my kids, ORGANIZING. When it's warm, I like going for walks in the rain.
wexy: The first musical I saw was The Sound of Music with MARY MARTIN. I was 3. I already knew all the songs because people told me to hush. (They were right.)
First play? I have to look at my Playbills!
Miss Penny, I just had this feeling we were kindred spirits!
Oh, Mom! Coming from you, that means a lot.
Just another pop in to say Miss Pennywise rocks.
That is all.
Congrats Miss Pennywise!
Yes, I know "The Good Fairy" very well, and love the movie. One of the many VHS tapes I have left! Waiting for DVD.
Frank Morgan is fantastic in the film, and the story is so sweet. You can see Sturges work in the early stages here, can't you?
Enjoy your crown!
Addy and Erika asked me what my dream vacation is.
It's going to the South of France with my husband and two kids to spend time with my "French Parents." They have a house in the mountains with a pool, so my kids will be able to swim all day...Ted and I will just feel so peaceful because everywhere you look it's breathtakingly beautiful. Then we get to eat the most glorious food and drink wine perfectly suited for every dish. We get into big discussions about how screwed up the world of politics is, how much everyone in the world misses Bill Clinton and what a dimwit you-know-who-is, why food is the most important aspect of living, and why Sidney Bechet is the most underappreciated jazz musician who ever lived.

Favorite Pennywise in Urinetown?
Mazel, btw.
That trip to France sounds right up my alley!
Miss Penny please take me too! (you, Jane2 and me? that could be lots of fun!!)
I hope you are enjoying your day!
No additional questions, just basking in the MP glory.
