Okay, I'll answer your question now.

We also had Paul Simon!
Obama really has such appeal. We debate whether it is time for a run, but I think he would have a better shot in 2012. We will see. I am also a fan of Bob Kerrey.
She didn't do mine.
good answer Miss Pennywise.......and she is great in that role.
Ok, I'll stay up a few more.
The movie version of my life would be directed by Francois Truffaut. It would not be a musical, per se, but it would have musical moments. (Think of Jeanne Moreau singing Le Tourbillon in Jules et Jim--you know, my avatar! Or Bobby Le Pointe in Tirez Sur Le Pianiste.)
It would be full of humorous bits, but there would always be an underlying feel of sadness to the film...a kind of hopelessness that dreams will never truly be realized. At the same time, there will be characters who demonstate great humanity and inspire the other characters to persevere despite adversity.
Some of the more surreal aspects of life would have to be slipped in from time to time because the surreal keeps it real, in my life, anyway.
I became very drawn to "Caldwell B. Cladwell" (aka my husband) the time he and I were at a party--we were not dating, in fact, we were seeing other people--and he pointed to a picture of Jeanne Moreau (when she was like 30) and he said, "I've been trying to figure out who you look like, and that's it." So, I would LOVE for a young Jeanne Moreau to play me (who wouldn't?), but I would be happy with Judy Davis doing the honors. (I'm not sure but I think she's about my age now.)
My husband would be played by Tim Robbins or Oliver Platt. Jane2 would be played by Bette Midler.
WHO WOULD PLAY ALL OF YOU????????
I'm thinking Billy Boyd for me. What do you think?

thanks hon, that was well thought out and worth the wait. Thanks for having Bette play me, good choice. I don't know how you ever thought of that! ESP.
Oh, and it would be edited by cturtle.
Of course! Just in case you feel like doing any more thinking-who would compose the soundtrack? remember, you don't have to answer.
Pengy, I think you're better looking than Billy Boyd. Not a bad choice, but sometimes he looks kinda goofy. You gotta find someone more consistently handsome.
I was thinking those goofy times are the only ones when he looks like me. I thought I was goofy looking.
Thanks for that though!
Who do you recomend?
Hmm. Let me think.
Hey, Pengy, you didn't ask me one question all day, did you know that?
It wasn't you, I don't ask them.
I think everyone gets plenty, without having to deal with my needs. I learn plenty from the questions of others.
There is much I still want to learn though.
The few I ask are of the "simple" variety.
I read all the answers to everyone else's though.
Well, Pengy, I did notice that you asked me who should play YOU in my movie. So you DID ask a question, but it was all about you!!!!
That is how I roll.
Let's see...the actor who should play YOU. Well, unfortunately, Don Knotts just died....
I would be cool with Don Knotts.
I didn't mean to make it about me. I just figured since you didn't like my choice you would want to make your own.
Oooh, I love me some Miss Pennywise. A boy couldn't ask for a better dinner table companion...and all that radiant blonde hair! Why, it's almost as if she spent HOURS in the salon to get that perfect Paris-Hiltonesque hue!
Congrats, dahlink!
bwayaddict asked:
Having had my own handicapped child and having worked in Special Education for 17 years, what would you like the "normal population" to know about raising a child with special needs.
Having a child with special needs helps you learn a lot about hope, humanity and yourself.
In terms of hope, I see in my daughter the possibilities in life. She has helped me to understand what is meant by the statement, "Everyone suffers." I now have a better understanding of everyone's pain and unique burdens to endure, At the same time, I try to be mindful of the fact that human beings also have the capacity to love and rise above their suffering unselfishly.
As far as I go, I have learned patience and to go out of my way to help people who feel out of place feel that they belong.
There is a lot of bigotry toward people with disabilities, so raising a child with disabilities is not for the thin-skinned. You have to deal with your child's issues--issues she did nothing to bring upon herself--plus the issues for which "society" refuses to accept reponsibility, namely, the inability to cope with those who are weaker, needier or just plain different.
My experience has made me even more of an advocate for minority populations than I was before.
Beautiful, Miss Pennywise.
Jaily, I am gonna bitch-slap you for comparing me to Paris Hilton. EWWWWWWW!
And to think, I was gonna ask you to let me use my favorite line of yours from the other night in my signature.
XXxooooooo
Penny
P.S. Are your thighs still as big as Rhode Island?
