Hi, DD! Thank you!
If you were a tree, what tree would you be and why?
I would like to be a crabapple tree. We used to have one in front of our big new house and I would climb in them and write stories and read books in the summer. I would definitely have a lot of birdfeeders on me, by the way
If you could have anyone over for dinner, who would it be and what would you serve them?
Honestly, I would love to hang out with Sondheim in my home. And I would definitely order in some Leona's (my favorite restaurant) because I don't really cook and I wouldn't want the Great and Powerful Sondheim to get ptomaine from something I had prepared. But Sondheim could order whatever he wanted from the delivery menu.
Aw! Big congrats to SG!
Enjoy your day, honey!

You are such a whore.
Say your whore roommate wants you to get the hell out of Dodge for a few hours so she can do naughty things with her geeky man. How do you spend the time?
I'd stay a little later at work, playing the pinball game because it's so fun and I don't have it at home. Then I'd go to the Red Line and get off at North and Clybourn and rub myself all over everything at CB2. And if my hypothetical whore roommate wasn't done yet, I would go to Borders, aka Mecca.
ETA: That's not an invitation to kick me out of the apartment every week, though, because I'd have to kill you.
What's the matter, darling? Little frightened? You should be.
What is your favorite episode of each of the following shows that we have on DVD and why?

Are you not busy at all today? I don't mind, your questions are making me laugh.
What is your favorite episode of each of the following shows that we have on DVD and why?
American Gothic
The one that was never aired that would have made a lot of sense to the series as a whole called Ring of Fire when Gail goes searching for the truth behind her parents' deaths. The reason it's my favorite is because it's got lots of hot scenes with Gary Cole and his vests.
Family Guy
Oh, why you do this to me, Dimi? OK, it's one from Season 3 where Brian goes to pick up Stewie in Florida and they have all sorts of adventures. Oh, too fun. I just like the scene where they bury Biscuit, Brian's mom.
Golden Girls
I love the one where the girls are putting on a play and they all start having affairs with the lead actor of the play. I love those "Let's put on a show!" shows.
Sex & the City
That last one on Season 6, Part One when Carrie has her date with Baryshnikov and he pushes her up against the wall to kiss her. Lord help me. I love you, Baryshnikov.
Silk Stalkings
Definitely the one where Rita and Chris go to the sex therapy place. That one is great, not only because of the heinous outfits that the bad couple wears. How could you even ask?
Well it could've been the one where Rita works as a phone sex operator. You never know. And no, I'm not busy at all right now. So I have nothing better to do than ask you absolutely ridiculous questions and you're gonna like it!!!

Oh my gosh, my celebrityhood has killed this thread. That's really, really sad.
No it didn't!
What is your favorite flower? And your favorite scent?
Congrats, SG! You're a sweetheart.

Oh, thank God, someone is still willing to spend time with me. Phew! Thank you, cookie!
What is your favorite flower?
Any sort of lily
And your favorite scent?
I love the scent of spring with all the flowers coming out and the breezes bringing the scent through my bedroom window. I can't wait!

cturtle, that's so cute! And I think the tiara I got is just paste, so don't worry.
SG, other than stopping traffic on the Mag Mile, what has been your favorite Chicago adventure so far?
I thought seeing Bono as I was walking to the train from work was pretty cool. I also loved getting to meet one of my favorite authors, Laura Caldwell, twice and having her ask me to stay for a drink at the bar at which she was doing a signing.

Sadly, I'm going to have to abandon thread in about ten minutes due to my leaving work and not having Internet at home. So for the two of you who are still listening to my ramblings, don't cry for me. Stay tuned for the exciting beginning of tomorrow's CotD career! Yay!
is she gone yet? can we start talking about her?
MUWAH! You done good, SG. You done good
when the cat's away...
To end my darling SG's day of celebrity on the right note, I present lyrics to one of her all-time favorite songs. This one goes out to you from me dearie.
"Isn't it rich?
Are we a pair?
Me here at last on the ground,
You in mid-air.
Send in the clowns.
Isn't it bliss?
Don't you approve?
One who keeps tearing around,
One who can't move.
Where are the clowns?
Send in the clowns.
Just when I'd stopped
Opening doors,
Finally knowing
The one that I wanted was yours,
Making my entrance again
With my usual flair,
Sure of my lines,
No one is there.
Don't you love farce?
My fault, I fear.
I thought that you'd want what I want -
Sorry, my dear.
But where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns.
Quick, send in the clowns.
What a surprise.
Who could forsee
I'd come to feel about you
What you'd felt about me?
Why only now when i see
That you'd drifted away?
What a surprise.
What a cliche'.
Isn't it rich?
Isn't it queer?
Losing my timing this late
In my career?
And where are the clowns?
Quick, send in the clowns.
Don't bother - they're here."
Oh that Sondheim. Such a genius!
Now if you think there's gonna be any of this celebrity business when you get home you're in for some serious disappointment. Toodles!!
