Having practically missed on my day... you miss your day, you miss your day. There is no extending... even though they knew I was out of town and no where near a computer, I missed it, almost. Which made me sad.

Damn - I get named celeb of the day on the one weekend that I was completely busy. I worked an art show in Coconut Grove and am completely exhausted. I'll answer all questions in a half an hour.

Posted: 2/20/06 at 7:48pmI agree, Mamie. You should be eligible for future honoring. It isn't just the honoree who misses out. I have really come to love this thread - though I got into it late - as a way to get to know BWW posters. It's so easy to misjudge based on posts concerning a few topics. I've had some eyeopeners here, and I'm the richer for it. Now I'm eager to meet the new CotD's. I've even been going in and reading the honorees I've missed. Let's not slight South Florida Marc because any one of a million things could be keeping him from the board today. Even choosing the newest honoree at 10 am makes it impossible for some people with jobs to know they've been selected until they get home - whenever that may be. Even if you have access to the internet at work, you company may block this site or you dare not go in.

If you could spend one day with any BWWer what would you do, where would you go and who would it be? - Either I would like to have lunch with Papa - because he has a different point of view from me on so many issues and I love discussing topics with people who see things differently from me - I learn more that way. Also he is probably one of the most articulate members of the board.
Or going to a show with Margo - she has great taste in theatre.
