Okay, I'm going to ask questions and hop on the bandwagon.
1. If you had one day to live, what would you do?
2. Can you sing? LOL, I'm just curious.
3. You have your own cabaret for one night only. You can only pick ten songs in your lineup (with one encore). Also, you can have one guest star singing one of those songs with you. What is your lineup and who is your guest star?
Now THOSE are good questions
Congratulations, Patronus!
You are a kind, gentle, open person. We need more pople like you in this world.
Hey, what's your favorite poem?
Congrats Patronus!
So...imagine you're a student at Hogwarts....what would your Patronus be? What would your Boggart be?
Kitzy, I LOVE THAT Richard Dawson!
yodamarie78 asked:
Patronus not only is that a wonderful story, which I don't think I will ever tire of reading, I'm also always impressed by your eloquence. You are so good at putting your thoughts into words, not just with the Rent story, but with all of your answers.
Also, "Here lies Stephen. I am surprised he actually made it." is laugh out loud funny.
Thanks, S! I really appreciate that. Often times I just feel like a bumbling fool. I consider myself the "least intelligent" of our little foursome, so it's great to know that I am the "witty one" and you guys at least can piece together my grunts and mumbles and figure out what I mean.
katygrace asked:
Patronus, your answer to the Rent question brought tears to my eyes. I can't wait to read your answers to the rest of the questions when I come in tomorrow morning. I hope you have enjoyed your little day of sunshine as much as I enjoyed mine.
Thanks very much for that. I appreciate the fact that everyone accepted my story and that it's touching a few people. I am sure there are 1000s out there just like it, but that one is mine and I cherish the memories.
What is one thing that we would be surprised to know about you?
I am 27 years old, living in Los Angeles and I have never had a driver's license. I now have a learner's permit and am learning and practicing to drive (although when Anji finally gets in here I am sure she'll say that it isn't enough) and hope to get a license eventually.
What song is the absolute worst ever written, Broadway or otherwise?
Ugh, that damned "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas has to be right up there.
Which member of your family are you most like? Least like?
I am most like my grandmother. She was just a beautiful person that was a giving as anyone you'd met, but she also had a short temper and a smart ass attitude that everyone loved her for. I miss that woman so much. I strive to be as loved by everyone like she was. I am least like my parents I suppose. They love the quiet mountain simple life and I am a city boy through and through. They are also very conservative and I am sane...er I mean liberal.

And congratulations to both you and Anji. The kind of love you have is rare.
Yes it is. There isn't a day where I don't remind myself how lucky I am to have found her.
Hot damn! I am caught up!!!
And what house would you be in?
Patronus -
Each of us is the architect of our own heaven. What is yours going to be like?
what's your favorite poem?
When I Heard the Learned Astronomer by Walt Whitman
So...imagine you're a student at Hogwarts....what would your Patronus be?
Well, Clay and I have joked that it would probably be the NobertEmcee that I used as my avatar.
Seriously though, I think it would be a dolphin.
What would your Boggart be?
Probably something to do with Anji being hurt or no longer with me.
And what house would you be in?
I wish I could honestly answer that I'd be in Gryffindor, but I bet I'd chicken out. I doubt I am smart enough for Ravenclaw. I am not purely evil enough to be in Slytherin, so I guess that leaves Hufflepuff.
Patronus. Darling, we have not interacted yet but I think you are terrific. So wise and so muted. So strong in your approach. Straight, ooozing sex appeal, and on this website. There is a God. My question for you is, lights on or off?
I will contact you soon. Eadie(wasalady)

Pat...you missed my questions.
I don't feel loved!
*cries*
Heh, just kidding but just letting you know before I get into the fetal position.
Each of us is the architect of our own heaven. What is yours going to be like?
Wow, GREAT question. My answer is a bit plain though. Probably a lot like Central Park only it is only inhabited by my friends and family. I am a simple boy with simple pleasures.

Ha! Thanks for that. I appreciate it.

I am a lights off person. I think everything is more sensual in the dark. It makes the sensation of touch all the more powerful.

And a gentleman too. Oh dear.
Patronus. Darling. Come here.
Let me show you this little trick I can do.
Welp, this thread just took a turn for the nasty.
...and I didn't do it!!!!
Oh, gav sweetie I am sorry!
If you had one day to live, what would you do?
I'd almost certainly spend it with Anji just laying in bed holding one another and talking.
2. Can you sing? LOL, I'm just curious.
I am okay. I don't have an amazing voice, but I am passable. I do a mean Mark in Rent and I really enjoy singing along with Jason Robert Brown songs. Looking forward to those regional rights being released!
You have your own cabaret for one night only. You can only pick ten songs in your lineup (with one encore). Also, you can have one guest star singing one of those songs with you. What is your lineup and who is your guest star?
In no particular order...
1) "Someone Else's Clothes" by Jason Robert Brown
2) "Need To Know" from Weird Romance
3) "Goodbye Love" from Rent (with Special Guest Norbert Leo Butz)
4) "My Funny Valentine"
5) "Defying Gravity" from Wicked (yes, I know - but I think it's the perfect Cabaret song)
6) "Why, Georgia" by John Mayer
7) "This is the Moment" from Jekyll and Hide "I Can See It" from The Fantasticks
9) "(You've Got To) Use What You've Got" from The Life
10) "Shiksa Goddess" from The Last 5 Years
Encore: "One" by U2
Nice question!

I will be first in line to buy a ticket to that Cabaret, Patronus!
Thanks for your wonderful answers, and hope you've been having a special day!
Wow, Eady. Thanks for the sentiment, but my wife has the only special tricks I need.
Are you and Anji planning on having children? If so how many do you want, what genders would you prefer, and do you have some names in mind already?
Thanks NYadgal!
Some version of that Cabaret can be heard every single morning if you are my neighbor and I am in the shower.
Are you and Anji planning on having children? If so how many do you want, what genders would you prefer, and do you have some names in mind already?
Yeah, we want kids. A few more years down the road though. Anji is extremely career oriented and we want to be in a place where I can stay home full time with the kids and be a house husband.
We've looked into the prospects of adopting a child from Khazakstan.
I think it'd be nice to have one boy and one girl.
As for names we've talked about a lot of things.
For boys: Christian, Noah, Calvin, Simon
For girls: Ginevra, Guinevere, Julie and as lame and cheesy as it would be, Hermione.
In the meantime on the kids front, we sponser an adorable little girl in Guatemala named Karina. It's through Children's International. We pay a monthly fee that goes to her family and helps them buy things for Karina and we can also send gifts directly to Karina if we choose.
Here is her picture:

She's lovely. What a generous thing for you to do.
I am sure it brings you much happiness, as well.
Awwwww, how CUTE!
I think Christian is the sexiest name for a boy. Period. (I'd say 'Stephen' is, but one nasty ex later, and it's associated with a lot of four-letter words following it.)
Karina is such a cutie pie!
Since I am caught up on the questions and this is my day...
I figure I'll toss a cheap plug out there.
For those of you who haven't listened to Clay and myself on our podcast, Sunset and 42nd, please consider giving it a listen.
Episode 1 is available at our website which is www.sunsetand42nd.com and you can also download it through iTunes by going to the music store and typing in Sunset and 42nd. Episode 2 is already up there and ready for download.
We have over 200 subscribers so far and are looking to add more.
Okay, cheap plug over. Please commence with the questions.

Why isn't NorbertEmcee celebrating?
Where's the streaming link for Episode 2?
More questions, eh? Can I just point out that you get questions about your thoughts on public figures, spirituality and geneology, and I get asked how often I change my underwear?
Hmmm...
1. What made you decide to create a podcast and why this topic?
2. What is your one physical vanity?
3. What would Anji say is your best and worst quality?
4. What do you love and hate about LA?

The little gilr is adorable!! Good for you guys.
And I love the name Guinevere. Always been one of my favorite. And ditto on what Tiff said about Christian.
