A quick threadjack back to SOMMS - sorry I missed your day, and a late congrats!
And to the fabulous KelRel - congrats to a truly lovely MBCotD! I have enjoyed the times I've gotten to chat with you, and I think that you're fantastic - this is an honor you deserve!
I've loved reading all your responses (to the point where I don't think I have any good questions to ask), and I hope you've enjoyed your day! (Enjoy a slice of cake!)
Thanks, that is a beautiful cake! That makes me want to go get something sweet to eat.
If it helps any, display cakes are usually frosted blocks of foam.
Oh I know, but ice cream usually is pretty tasty lol.

Hi Kel - didn't mean to abandon you there. It's been a killer day. I'm still at work!
If someone were to visit Kentucky for a few days, what should they absolutely see and do? What should they absolutely miss?
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
If you could be a man for one day, what would you do?
Name a place that you’ve never been, but would like to visit.
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? That you were given?
Kel... darling... I'm missing your day. Work has exploded today and I've had NO time to play. Just wanted to pop in and say YAY! one more time.
Lets see...If you came to Kentucky for the day you should take a tour of the horse farms and the bourbon distilleries. Most of the tours are free and the variations in the different bourbons is amazing. We would then have a late lunch at the Merrick Inn, a cute little historic restaurant in Lexington. We would then go to Shakertown which is in my old hometown and see the beautiful Kentucky countryside and the quaint way that the Shaker's used to live. That was the last Shaker settlement in the US. We would then go to the Kentucky theatre to see a movie. It is an old restored theatre in downtown where you can have a drink (read alcohol) while watching a nice arthouse film. After that we would go bar hopping, probably at The Dame which is right next door to a drag bar so the crowd in that area is always diverse and fun. Then if it was a game night we would go to a UK hockey game which is an insane amount of fun. The games start at midnight and its always a packed house.
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be? Well let me ask my husband and see what he says...cute, funny, sweet, nice, honest, fun-loving, and silly. I think that that is pretty accurate, he is biased though.
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try? I have never traveled to Asia and I want to.
If you could be a man for one day, what would you do?
Relish in the ability to pee almost anywhere. I would also finally see what it was like to have a penis, it must be awkward to have that stuff hanging there in the way.
Name a place that you’ve never been, but would like to visit.
What’s the last great gift that you gave someone? That you were given? I gave my mom a pair of jeans and she bought me a stuffed animal of the little mouse from the book If You Give A Mouse A Cookie to add to my classroom library and supplies. He is adorable!!
Kel, were they magic jeans?
No, just regular old jeans. If they were magic I would have kept them. I saw that movie the other day though and I didn't expect it to be so good. I liked it and the part with the little girl made me cry like a baby.
You lost me at "the movie". What movie?
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I assumed you were referencing the movie.
Oh, duh!
No, I wasn't even thinking about that. I was just wondering what was "great" about the jeans.
I missed the "great" part. Lets see the last great gift I gave was probably the book of roadmaps I gave my husband. It may sound like a dumb gift, but he LOVES maps and because of that gift he started thinking of taking a road trip and then next thing you know we decided to come to NYC. The last great gift I got was for V-day, my husband the self proclaimed musical hater surprised me by taking me to see RENT on campus at a "pre-DVD release" screening. I was blown away. It cost him a whole $2, but meant the world to me.
Not dumb at all. I love maps. I have them all over my walls in my office at work, and I have a big world atlas.
My husband would LOVE your office. So here is a quick question for you guys- who all will be meeting me in NYC for dinner and drinks?
I wish, but it will be, at least, May before I get there.
Kel, I was supposed to be out of town that night, but, my plans might have changed... so, I might be able to stop by! Keep me posted about the plans.
As of now I don't have any real plans other than something Sunday morning so I have to keep that time free.
Congrats to my fellow teacher on the boards... i love you!
::bust a move for kelrel::

Congratulations, Kelrel! You are truly one of the sweetest people on the board, with always a kind word and thoughtful discussion. God bless you, and I really hope you got to enjoy your day - even if, again, I chimed in very late.
Kel...was just looking at your profile, and noticed that you're only 22 and still in school, so how were you lucky enough to find your mate so early in your life?
What a wonderful MBCotD you've been! You get your spanking 2 days early! :)
