Agree, Kringas!
Hope the celebrity is enjoying her day... even if she's not online.

Congratulations to etoile! She's the "new jewel in our glittering crown"!
I have no idea where the boundaries are with Etoile.
Moony or anybody, do you have any suggestions for questions? I don't think any of my standards would be good.

Okay. I'll try and answer a few questions in no real order.
Mom-
Favorite cookie - I enjoy most, but my favorite is probably home baked Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip with pecans.
Favorite hero - My mom.
Favorite children's books - Nancy Drew series.
Favorite Saturdays - After saving pennies to buy those Nancy Drew books, and later followed by all things Agatha Christie, my favorite Saturdays were spent reading them into the wee hours of the night.
DG - I don't think there are five public voices I listen to and respect, at least not with any regularity. The only voice that matters to me is the little one inside my head. I learned not to question myself and go with my own instincts.
Cookie - Thanks for the rocks, they look smashing.
Sommes - USPS. Love some of the features they've added over the years, and you can't beat the safety and dependability of their money orders.

Craig - The night I first saw the BWW version of "Pick-a little" was truly one of those evenings that stay with you forever. I do recall laughing until the tears rolled down my cheeks. That is a testament to a very talent man. And the vision of a voicanth like character kissing himself on a favorite body part was priceless.
I also teared up when I saw Eddie Varley perform. He wowed me.
I met some very special people that night. And who knew I was feet away from meeting Iflit, Boobs, and Bongo. Who knew?
oh please, you were just the belle of the ball that night!
now, some important questions: can the steelers recover from bettis retiring or has their heart just walked out the door? can duce staley every manage to be more than a run up into the back of the line and fall down back in steel-town? who should we draft?
That was a special night!
As all the Standing Ovations have been.

Bettis retiring? I'm still in denial.
I think Duce's days are numbered. The draft? Hummm...for once we can finally say we don't need a quarterback.

Addy, yes SO have all been special.
What brought me to BWW? - I was a frequent poster on another Broadway message board. When that board was closing down Rob extended an invitation to check out his new site. I lurked for months. Many of my favorites started posting here. But I had seen b'way boards on other major sites close down. I didn't want to commit myself until I was certain that this wasn't a fly by night place where they suckup your email address and forever track you down. After a few months the board was still existing and growing so I decided to log in.

Somms, VHS or DVD? I enjoy both. VHS because of the vast availability to find cheap copies of old releases. But be careful from whom you buy. Somethings they wind up costing more in aggravation then they were ever worth.
This brings me back to my pick of UPSP. Love it when things come full circle.
Are you an Academy Awards fan? Will you be watching?

One of my favorite board posters isn't here this weekend because he's "playing" on another coast.
I have only a slight interest in most award shows. Don't know if I'll be watching. Too soon to tell. But I will be looking forward to photos from the Vanity Fair Party. There's a certain someone I know who was invited. No, he will NOT be at the Brokeback Mountain table.
That's a fun party! I went to it about three years ago...
I like dishing on the red carpet...
WHO IS THAT RIDDLE WRAPPED IN A MYSTERY INSIDE AN ENIGMA? Darn if I know. I am really looking forward to reading all about you this weekend, Star Etoile! (OMG - your last name isn't Jones is it?)

Between a couple of those pariahs, enough hints are dropped that I'm just depressed not to be able to see that 'mystery poster' on this 'other coast'.
I've seen a few posts by etoile, but I just don't know much about the famed celebrity du jour...
do you prefer long hot showers or long hot baths?

Let me try to answer boob's question, without getting too graphic, about whom and what to interview.
First I'll state some beliefs. (Very uncharacterist to be this personal.) I believe that if you can't do an interview well, then you shouldn't do one. Hone your ability. Develop some skills. Learn to put two words together and punctuate them correctly. Organize a thought process where more than two sentence have a coherent flow. If this means more schooling, go for it. Stop hanging out on corners! Anything less is a mockery to those writers who truly are attempting to engage in their passion.
I'm not much of an inquisitive person. I prefer to listen and watch.
I believe the true evil exist. I believe in the devil. I believe that he takes human form. I believe in a merciful God. I believe that if I were to "interview" someone it would be Osama bin Laden. I believe he is one person, of many people, that history has shown, to me, to be the personification of evil. I believe that I would leave the interviewing to Dan Rather and instead do my own thing. And with the grace of God and the strength of Saint Michael on my shoulder this world would be a different place...at least for a short time.
Just popping in to say I hope you've had a FANTASTIC day so far and I look forward to catching up tomorrow morning!
In the spirit of all that is pompus and overblown, I bring you a questionare which has been answered by many a celebrity here at the Actor's Studio. Created by Bernard Pivot, they are probably the most important questions ever posed by humanity.
1. What is your favorite word?
2. What is your least favorite word?
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
4. What turns you off?
5. What is your favorite curse word?
6. What sound or noise do you love?
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
9. What profession would you not like to do?
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

(see, mom, I'm still using your word!)
etoile, I feel for you. I'll ask my usual question - what was your favorite hiding place as a child?
I wanted to give you your birth stars, but I don't know what month you were born - so here are the Pleiades. If you try to look directly at them in the night sky, you see only a shimmery cloud. You can't see the glimmer of the stars in them unless you look sideways. Of all the stars in the sky, these would be "etoiles".

Mamie and Justthefacts, thank you so much for all the stars. They remind me of The Little Prince.
No, my last name isn't Jones, Reynolds or any combination of those two.
And I honestly don't remember having a hiding place as a child.
Kitzarina, sorry but I don't watch the Actor's Studio. Anyone else find it too much like Larry King? Okay, perhaps it's just me.
I'm not a person of absolute favorites. Not with comfort food, comfort shoes, showers or baths, or words or noises. Everything changes with the moment.
grizzabella, when I need to recharge my battery I head to the theatre. That does more for me than music, books, or movies.

etoile, you've been a star in my book since before our first date, and you're still shining bright and true. José

Oh, Sueleen, you know I'm a working girl...at least until that trust fund comes through and I can buy that Mercedes I never wanted.
