And I hope it's not too late for me to ask you a question, Jane2. What is your favorite star (in the heavens, I mean) and why?

Jane, love, I know you are very knowledgeable about the visual arts, but what is your favorite comfort music? What do you listen to when you need to restore your soul?
Again, Jane. I've always enjoyed your posts and I am so happy that today is your day! Brava!
Jane! Congrats, you're wonderful, one of my favorite people on here, my confidante, my voice of reason, yada yada. I was going to write an entire ode to you, but it's too after the fact. Plus it'll probably be the first thing you've consumed that goes straight to your head instead of your thighs!
So instead, O Fabulous One, I ask this of you:
1. What is one article of clothing you've never owned but wish you had?
2. Favorite food? (And "Anything in sight," is NOT an answer.)
3. Something that makes you tick?
4. What you look for in your ideal man and woman?
5. Who is your favorite BWW Idol contestant? (Hee.)
6. If you were willing to fly, what 3 countries would you want to visit? Out of the few places you have gone to, what are your favorites and why?
7. Favorite job you've had?
8. An event or experience that changed an old outlook or philosophy?
9. An international issue you feel passionate about?
What has given you the most (non-sexual and non-criminal) pleasure in the last year?
If you could be anyone you wanted to be today, who would you be, and what would you do?
If we asked an important person in your life to describe you, what would he or she say? How accurate would it be?
What’s something that you’ve never done, but have always wanted to try?
What’s the last “great” gift that you gave someone? That you were given?
Tell us something that you think we’d be surprised to know about you?
i'm back from work. thank you to everyone on this last page for your good wishes, Grizz, Fido, BDway girl, Abba, Just the facts.
Now to tackle the new questions- Best 12-i'm really going to give you demerits today! I answered that question about how did I come to this board already! and the reason I continue to post is probably the same as most people here-we love attention, we like to spread our knowledge, learn new things, dish, make new friends, etc.
I still like you though, Best 12.
Just the facts-i'm embarrassed to say I don't know the names of stars. I look up and love them, but I only know the names of some constellations.
Grizzabella-first of all, haha I found out what gender you are! And I don't like you any less! And thanks for your kind words, xoxox. OK-Music for relaxing and restoring the soul. Truth is, I usually only feel like listening to music when I'm in an up mood, and feel like dancing around. Sad or serious music makes me depressed, but I think I can come up with something to answer you with. If I'm in a good mood but want comfort and relaxation I may listen to Alice Ripley's cd, Fleetwood Mac, or maybe some classical Saint Saens.
And now for my first friend on the board and someone I just love to death, almost like a daughter-the big fat blimp known as Tiff~
1. Article of clothing I never had but wish for-well, this only became clear to me the other night when I was coat check girl and I was hanging up someone else's fabulous coat- I want a black leather 3/4 length coat lined with dark brown fur.
2. Favorite food-easy answer for me, boring for you- pizza.
3. What makes me tick? Motivation of any kind (which I lack almost every day).
4. Ideal man or woman? Well, I outlined my ideal friend when I was answering Miss Pennywise's xoxox questions. In an ideal guy-I'm assuming you mean someone to date-I look for the very most important thing first-physical attraction. He doesn't even have to be conventionally good looking-he just has to appeal to me, and I've been attracted to some strange guys! Once there's an attraction, the rest is easy for me-sense of humor, being smarter than I am, and has to understand art and have the energy and talent to make a good living.
5. My favorite BWW idol contestant, and I'm saying this even though he and I vehemently disagree about singing voices-Spidey.
6. If I were willing to fly-I can tell you right away-France, Italy, Greek Isles. I've only flown to London, Cleveland (oy), and Florida. so there's not much to talk about there.
7. Favorite job I've had-House manager/bar/concessions manager of an off broadway theatre in NY.
8. an event or experience which changed my outlook-this is a fabulous question for me- And now matter how outrageous this sounds, it's true, so let's have a little respect- Seeing the Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time changed my life overnight. Drastically. I was a different person. Before that, I was your everyday garden variety girl from NJ but restless. Saw the film. Something about the basic message of "Don't dream it, be it" must have woken (is that a word?) something up in me, because the next day I LITERALLY was different. I felt different, acted different, and started doing different things that led me to this life I have now. (slits throat).
9.An international issue I feel passionate about. The overwhelming amount of wars and violence in the world based on religious differences.

jane is my special skating friend. her toe picks really turn me on
Oh, DG thanks so much. Is there any more fabulous person than Dr. Frankenfurter played by Tim Curry? His Frank inspired so many other performances that I've seen by other actors since then. I just know that johnny Depp used some of it in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
c turtle-does everyone here know how talented you are also?
Congrats Jane!
Wonderful answers, Jane! Short enough that it keeps my attention, and thoughtful enough that I feel like I know you that much better!
And amen for giving an honest answer for your ideal significant other! All that "romantic, sensitive, funny" crap is so secondary; physical attraction IS paramount.
And my avatar change is now in honour of you! Do I get to ask you about a certain tatoo?

Jane - because you asked - I just got a little sample of one of cturtle's talents (film editing, before anyone goes straight into the gutter!) and it was wonderful!

*Hits Reply* Oh, that DG...that virginal mind'll have no idea what he's...

thanks for the av, Tiff, and if anyone's interested- I have a tattoo of red lips on my upper right arm, symbolizing Rocky Horror.
Janey, what 5 adjectives would you choose to "sum up" the BWW board "family"?
Jane2, I'm going to choose a star for you, if you don't mind. I just need to know your favorite season.
haha, good one Miss P-
1. Ready
2. Colorful
3. Interested
4. Willing
5. Human
Describe the "movie version" of your life. (We want details. You can't just say, "a musical" or something like that.)
Jane2, that is the BEST 5-adjective summary of this group I could imagine! Brava! Great question, Miss Penny.
Miss P, no hon. You make one up.
Ooooh. That is so tempting, but that would be like making it all about me and I don't want to do that to you, Miss Jane.
(Although I will take the compliment from Justy2 and say "Thanks!" )
No, Miss P, I wasn't being that generous. I meant YOU make one up about ME!!!
Just the facts-thank you so much!
I knew what you meant, Jane, but if I get to be the "director" of the film then it IS all about me because (as cturtle knows) I belong to the auteur school of cinema.
Okay, let me think about it.
In the meantime, answer this question:
What do you consider the 5 saddest words in English language?
