Those who emit the light can rarely gauge the intensity of their own luminosity.
Beacon, my dear, I am convinced that, by the end of the day, you will have enough to read back through and at least get a hint of your own special beauty.
And you're right, you ARE stunning

BEACON!! YAY!!
Hooray for BEACON!
I am not really a "question asker" I hate to put people on the spot for personal things, so I will give you a real layup:
When did you discover Mr.Wilson, and what attracted you to him?

*hears a resounding "No Penguin, NOT THAT QUESTION" from the rest of BWW...
I saw him in "Angels in America" on HBO and he looked so much like a man I had cared for very much several years ago. My heart had really gotten broken in that situation and he had struggled with things (not the same problems as Joe) which would have made fidelity a real challenge.
But his acting, his stage presence, etc really captured my attention. His use of his voice pitch, his reaction with the others on the screen. The honesty in his facial expressions (Meryl Streep says that he "has an 'authentic' gaze" when you are working with him.)
I googled around to learn about him...that was Dec 2003. By Jan 2004 (and taping AIA so I could view it repeatedly) I was fully smitten.
The rest, as BWW has sadly learned, is history. :o)

Excuse me Missy! I asked the first question here. *pulls rope, gag and duct tape out of desk drawer* To further avoid any unfortunate circumstance from occuring *polishes sight and blade*, I suggest that you get busy answering it. I'll even give you a running start by repeating it. Other than your faith, who or what inspires you?

Having been inspired by Beacon, I traced an ancestral line through my grandfather (yes, that one) to the mid-1500's, and it was fascinating.
So, my question is, how did you become interested in geneology, and what have you learned about yourself through your investigations?
SOMMS, it was just the nature of my question, it was too much of a softball to wait.
I'm sure our celeb will grace your question with an answer full of grace as well.
I am very interested in this geneology situation, I spent several years working on my Grandfather on his.
...and after you've answered all their questions, try this one:
When the stress and strife of everyday life starts getting to you, what do you do to relax? Be specific - if it's laying back and listening to music, what music?, etc.

Food questions! MMM MMM MMM
(Thanks to Addy and Cookie for the hot chocolate, Thin Mint and Crab Rangoon references earlier. My tummy surely rumbled for those!)
My ideal meal: Really depends on my mood. Lately I've been craving Chinese...so my foods vary with moods, hormones, etc.
Overall, my ideal meal could be just about any food (no peanuts, please) with the table surround by my favorite people.
and dark chocolate...

Great choice, DG.
So Beacon....who inspires you?

SOMMS...
I was getting ready to answer you but Cookie mentioned a meal...and well, food distracts me. (
Other than your faith, who or what inspires you?
Wow. So many things. I have seen incredible examples of personal courage during the darkest times. Those have inspired me deeply and continue to do so.
I'm inspired by music, by great art, by talent in others. I am amazed at what human beings can express. Basically, anything that makes me feel that God and earth have touched lifts me and I revel in it.
I'm inspired by history and literature. Real people or characters who go beyond the bonds of every day circumstances with determination and vision. I want to emulate them--or to avoid becoming like them.
Oh, gosh, there are tons of things. I've rambled...and not been very eloquent. (Are demerits given out for these essay responses?)

DG: how did you become interested in geneology, and what have you learned about yourself through your investigations?
I became interested in genealogy because it is a part of my faith. We Latter-day Saints believe in the importance of knowing our ancestry because we believe we will be with our families in the eternities.
I've learned that family trees are full of all sorts of folks. Those you want to claim and those you would sell off at the drop of a hat.
I have a bigamist great-great-grandfather who started out fighting for the Confederacy but became a member of the federal troops when his company was attacked (yep--a deserter)...and then at the end of the war couldn't face going home so he moved to another state leaving behind a "widow" with children and started a whole new family. I have peasant stock and royalty. Pilgrims and mooncussers (pirates who lured ships to crash against rock and then robbed them.)
I have gypsy blood though my Swiss line and an ancester who ruled in early Britain named Ethelred the Unready...
And lots of plain ol' folks.
As for myself...I learned that some talents and traits seem to carry on but good looks seem to skip several generations at a time! I've also learned that I love solving a mystery. that's what genealogy is. Solving a mystery. Building a family puzzle.

This explains a lot about Beacs stalker ways. Pirates, Deserters, Stalkers, Oh My.
Nope! Great stuff Beacs. My family tree is full of many dirty rotten scoundrels.
You supplied me with some great source information when I was doing further research.
