Yay, always had respect in your sincerity and contributions to good talks on the board. Happy you-day

Congrats, SP, you're one nifty bird!
In honor of lactose-free macaroni and cheese, here's a Macaroni Penguin:
I am in the process of answering. I am finally back from class though, so at least I am here for the revelry.
What class?
What are the origins of your AIM name? Is Latin involved?
Can I marry the stuffed Penguin?
I can answer the "softball" questions now.
Fidorock: favorite fish dish? I love fresh grouper.
Gettinhelp: Does our smartpenguin sing? If so, what do you like to sing and where?
I am trying to become a better singer, I do not sing on stage (I do still act sometimes.) I sing in the house, on the subway, and through the streets of the city.
IF you could be a cat, would you and if you would, what kind of a cat would you be and why?
I would certainly be a cat, I love the cat life (although I would still want to read) I would be a standard housecat though, black and white of coure.
Amasis: Is the celebrity still in class? Busy with work? Nobody volunteered to do his work for him, just for the day? No, but I was. Yes I had a little work to do as well. No one did, but they should have.
BSoBW: What class? 2nd semester of Greek with exegesis
Marlene: What are the origins of your AIM name? Is Latin involved?
No Latin is involved in the formation of my AIM name.
As with my BWW screenname it is something I was actually called in real life. I love the works of Bob Dylan, and in many ways when my hair is going wild, I look like a young Gentile Dylan- by way of Woody Allen. Mainly though, it is because I speak in cryptic rambles, and poetic phrases.
Can I marry the stuffed Penguin? Fuzzels is accounted for, but he will still spread the love
Fuzzles spreads love?? is he easy?
ETA: STUPID RUSSIAN KEYBOARD!
Oooo, Marlene can't have Fuzzels OR Idina!
OR (in Russian!)
О, у Марлин нет Фуззлза и нет Идины!
ХА!
Damn it, why does society want me to stick to men?
We all know that Idina and Penguins are so much hotter.
I don't like my name in Russian, boooo, Ìàðëèí.

Miss Pennywise:
Keats: Which of his works are your favorites?
I really love a great many of his poems. (Hyperion, Ode on a Grecian Urn, etc.)
Here is a different one I particularly enjoy
Ode on Melancholy:
“No, no, go not to Lethe, neither twist
Wolf's-bane, tight-rooted, for its poisonous wine;
Nor suffer thy pale forehead to be kiss'd
By nightshade, ruby grape of Proserpine;
Make not your rosary of yew-berries,
Nor let the beetle, nor the death-moth be
Your mournful Psyche, nor the downy owl
A partner in your sorrow's mysteries;
For shade to shade will come too drowsily,
And drown the wakeful anguish of the soul.
But when the melancholy fit shall fall
Sudden from heaven like a weeping cloud,
That fosters the droop-headed flowers all,
And hides the green hill in an April shroud;
Then glut thy sorrow on a morning rose,
Or on the rainbow of the salt sand-wave,
Or on the wealth of globed peonies;
Or if thy mistress some rich anger shows,
Emprison her soft hand, and let her rave,
And feed deep, deep upon her peerless eyes.
She dwells with Beauty - Beauty that must die;
And Joy, whose hand is ever at his lips
Bidding adieu; and aching Pleasure nigh,
Turning to poison while the bee-mouth sips:
Ay, in the very temple of Delight
Veil'd Melancholy has her sovran shrine,
Though seen of none save him whose strenuous tongue
Can burst Joy's grape against his palate fine;
His soul shall taste the sadness of her might,
And be among her cloudy trophies hung. “
Sublime.
Sounds like a good topic for a serious discussion thread, SP!
(Let's bring back that literary gem!)
SP -
If you could choose one shoe to loose, which would it be?
And, growing up - Davey and Goalith or Gumby and Pokey?

A late night shout-out to my brother penguin. I should hesitate to point out any parallels, lest you not be inclined to be associated - but I find a very kindred attitude in your answers and perspectives.
Keep your face to the sun and your heart in tune with the earth.
I really want the "serious discussion" back as a regular feature.
KissmyCookie: what is your favorite drink? I am an easy going guy, generally I would have to say Diet Coke. I don't drink alchol often anymore but when I do my preference is nice Reisling.
Miss Pennywise: Sondheim: Which show of his was playing on Broadway the year you were born? (This is going to make me ill, I just know it.)
I was born in late November of 1978, so no Sondheim shows were “on Broadway” at the time, but Sweeney Todd was being created, for the March 1979 bow, so I will gladly claim it as my own.
wow you totally ignored my questions..
I see how it is..

Hey, we had a serious discussion today. And I have an idea for tomorrow.
I know Plum, I was to busy to participate, but I enjoyed reading it.
Cam: not ignored, just trying desperately to answer them honestly. They were very, very hard.
Cam: Pengers, what is the one goal that drives you to accomplish it above all others? This is really an intensely difficult question. I am generally more “big picture” oriented, than specific goal obsessed, although I try to do as well as I can with everything. My overall goal is to “make a mark” be it in the overall world picture, or in the lives of those I interact with. (which for me includes the BWW community) I try to live intently and lovingly. I fail more often than I succeed, but most of us do. My goal is to try and to learn along the way.
And, If I were to sit in a room with your real life friends and asked them to describe you (not physically, but who you are) to me honestly, what would they say?
It might depend on which real life friends you ask. Most would probably say I am funny and sarcastic, but that I try to be compassionate. They may say, I am anxious to a fault and prone to lecture on things I feel deeply about. Mostly I hope they can say, no matter my faults they are glad to see me around.
(that question was by far the hardest to answer of all of them, nice work Cam. )
I'm sorry I wasn't around today, but I love those serious discussion threads, and always look forward to your contributions.
I have truly enjoyed reading all of your responses on this thread today, SP!
Hope you've enjoyed the party!
I love pulling that question out of the hat.. It's cruel but it's also a good one.. it can provide nice insight..
What would you say your biggest fault or short coming is?

If you happened to find yourself in the position of being the last person a total stranger talked to while they were dying - and they were terrified - what would you say to them?
I believe this catches me up, except for a few more from Miss Pennywise. Let me know if I skipped someone.
YWIW???:If you could choose one shoe to loose, which would it be?
And, growing up - Davey and Goalith or Gumby and Pokey?
I don’t care which one, but I had to leave one behind at the Zeigfeld once, that was a left.
I watched more Gumby than Davey, Davey was a little too preachy for me.
Cam: What would you say your biggest fault or short coming is?
I have many faults, I will try to narrow it down for the purposes of this thread. One huge one is I am a notorious procrastinator, if I don’t have a STRICT deadline I don’t do anything (that I need to do) and even then I wait until the last possible moment. Unfortunately, my extreme anxiety at times leads me to lie to avoid conflict, I think that is a serious failing. Another huge fault is that I am easily turned to a bit of darkness, I can be mean and I can also be a bit depraved, sometimes at the expense of nobler notions. (the halo adjustment being an example )
Anjilly: If you could have one super-hero style super power, what would it be and why? (it is great to see you post by the way)
I am going to go with Telepathy, even though I would hate it. I feel like not worrying about what people actually think of me would be nice. If they think I am an ugly, evil, freak I would rather know.
You are definately an evil one.. and you know what they say, one bad apple spoils the bunch.. Thankfully I'm immune to your, erms charms.

Miss Pennywise: (finishing them up)
Buddhism: Which of the many important lessons that we learn from Buddhism is most meaningful to you and why?
The interconnected nature of life and the notion of freedom from desire. The whole of the teachings are important, and it is impossible to divide them into the categories we seek, we need to stop seeking them.
Which translation of the Teachings of Buddha most appeals to you?
On this one I am unsure, it is whichever I am reading that fills me with the greatest sense of the presence of the web of all being.
Buddhist Writers: Have you read any of the works of Thich Nhat Hanh? If so, which is (or are) most inspirational to you? (If you don't care for him or haven't read him, who is your favorite Buddhist writer?)
I have read many works by Thich Nhat Hanh, if he is not my favorite Buddhist writer he is at least in the vicinity. Calming the Fearful Mind is newer but a profound and awe inspiring work. Living Buddha, Living Christ probably has had the most impact on my current scholarship. Many of his other works have influenced me, and hopefully many more shall. He is an Enlightened one.
Meditation: What is your daily meditation ritual?
Unfortunately I have fallen out of my rituals, I was once in a regular practice, but I have fallen back of late. I will return to the ritual soon and let you know. (If I can remember)
And finally...
Penguins: Why are they always in formal attire?
Because dressing up and being paragons of class is what we penguins thrive on. Never shall we be seen as slobs.
