setting the conference record in the 100 backstroke as a junior in hs
seeing a set that i'd designed and built for joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat come to life the first time we turned on the lights.
everytime i think of my nephew (whose diapers i changed and whose skinned knees i bandaged while his daddy was doing time) volunteering to go back for six more months in the sand riding convoys, losing friends and dodging bullets and ieds because he believes we're making a difference.

Clowns do scare the hell out of me, I admit it. I'd believe that is what you intend with the clown as your mascot, but now that jrb actor has revealed the truth, how will you scare ANYONE ever again?

Unlike JRBActor, I am sad that I am unable to say that papa and I are close. Nor, unfortunately, "cool." I long to be both close and cool with papa, but apparently closeness and coolity are not in the picture. We disagree about a lot of things. Whenever we get together, one or the other of us ends up vomiting on the other's sweater or salmon blazer.
I see how papa is always nice on the board and always posts positive things and shares his knowledge without making others feel "less than," but still, I don't need his constant lectures about negativity and the importance of reading a daily affirmation and how to be popular and beloved on the board. I just don't. He's like Galinda.
I'm glad he's so popular and always "positive," but like everybody who presents his or herself that way on this board, something tells me there's some negativity in there somewhere.
Which is why I still have hope for him.

how many f***ing time do i have to apologize for that g*dd*mned blazer? i told you i didn't like horseraddish infused vodka, but you still had to insist that we do double shots of it. why after an evening of single malts and stout you would not let this go is still beyond me. i made clear my reservations and while i was quick to pay for the dry cleaning of the aforementioned blazer i am still waiting to see a dime for the sweater that you ruined trying to show me that lime jello shots were the proper libation with which to play the sotu drinking game.
i resent your insinuation that there is anything negative underneath my gloriously sweet and syrupy exterior. i cannnot abide your unnamed palahniuk protagonistian attempts to "destroy something beautiful" simply to feed your own growing nihilistic tendencies. but because i am a bastion of optimism and idealistic hope, i will continue to tend the embers of what's left of yoour soul in the hopes that from them will emerge a new namo of whom we can all be proud.
