i've made my choice. because of his deep devotion to theater (he has a Roundabout subscription for crissakes!) and inspite of being a yankee fan, i choose as celebrity of the day....WEXY!!!!!!!!! he is a leading actor and a good guy. lets get to know him...and he works in corporate america and deserves our support. enjoy your day, wex!

Excellent! This is another great opportunity to get to know someone - and just your little 'blurb' brings all sorts of questions to mind.

I went to read through some of Wexy's recent posts, just to get an overview of him - and imagine my surprise when I found someone literate and polite, with a varied background and points of view on a variety of subjects - AND he only seems to post when he actually has something to say or share.
This should be interesting.
Oh, and thanks, GG, for the OUR TOWN Emily quote - one of my all time favorite anythings.

Wexy - I love it! Wexy charmed me from the moment he posted about being invited to his former friend's birthday party. How did that turn out, by the way?

Side note: I love that each MBCoTD has chosen, as his/her successor, someone who is not necessarily a close friend. We have been able to honor a diverse group of people, some of whom fly under the radar. A nice opportunity to get to know posters with whom we don't ordinarily exchange more than a passing comment or two.

PJ - I've always liked Wexy's posts, but hadn't really gotten a sense of an overview (as I said, he doesn't seem to have diarrhea of the mouth, like I do!) - so it was very illuminating just to read through some of them collected together. There's quite a bit of depth indicated - which is always interesting and provocative . . .
