One would be hardpressed to pick a more deserving CotD. Addy is my dear friend and an all-around outstanding individual.

Addy, I'd drink a toast in your honor, but I really don't care for the stuff. Maybe I'll pierce a body part, say my nose perhaps, in recognition of your special day. Would that be suitable?

When this thread started 'taking off', I thought, "Oh, I hope we avoid those who are so frequently in the forefront - either by their own verbosity, or because they're so connected to so many." And I've been happy that there's been an opportunity to get to know a couple of people that aren't so recognizable from history.

HOWEVER, when it comes to this individual, I have no qualms whatsoever - because she is so very deserving of our acknowledgment for her contributions to this community. For those who watch such things (as I do,) it is an observable fact that her presense can elevate the overall 'feeling' of the board into one of good cheer, respect and FUN (what a concept!)

I doff my hat, take a respectful bow and offer our lovely lady some pink roses for her day. I am happy to call you my friend, and hope that your celebration can remind us why and what we come to this community for.

Could we change this designation to Celebrity of the WEEK for this truly wonderful person? (of course then instead being the CoD she would be the CoW!)The others were all fine and dandy, but this puts it in a whole new league. Wear your crown with pride, oh honorable one. Use your scepter to keep us all, your royal subjects, in line...we bow before you.

I've not followed this thread at all - until I saw Ms. Addy's name at the top. I can think of a handful of people who I might name to this exalted position - but none more deserving than the lady in pink!

This seriously made me so happy this morning. Addy was on my list of people to pick as my successor and she made it on to my VERY short shortlist before I decided to go with Iflit. Addy is without a doubt the most wonderful woman here. Pink Drinks all round!
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.
