I am stunned.
And flattered.
Beyond words...

But, I'll try to find some to do you all justice.

First, my thanks to Wexy for bestowing upon me such an unexpected honor! (And, yes, I do read all your posts and am elphie-green with envy that you saw La Lupone at the Rangers game last night!) You are a hard act to follow, but I shall do my best to do you proud. Thank you so much.

To all of you who have posted such overwhelmingly lovely messages, pictures, poems and notes: Thank you. I am so touched by all the beautiful things you are all saying! (And, Sueleen, the CoW thing made me laugh out loud!)

As some of you know, I've been going through a bit of a rough patch lately, and this lovely celebration has really lifted my spirits.

As many of you also know, I am prone to tears... both happy and sad... so I have armed myself with a box of tissues. And all the tears are happy ones.

Thank you for the kindness.
I am most grateful.
And just speechless at the lovely messages...

to put it simply...I would be lost without the love and support of Addy...may you all have a very special person in your life like her...THAT my friends is what this journey we call "living" is all about..knowing she/he is there during the good, bad and the ugly and they are still right at your side, even after you open up and share some of those parts of you you never want anyone to know for fear that they will look at you in a different light...and she only loves, cares and supports you more.

Addy defines class, grace and elegance...I am honored to be a part of her life and I hope someday you all have the chance to have an "addy" in your life...if you do...hold on to it tight and never let her go...cherish her and know you have just been bestowed one of life's greatest treasures.
