Good morning! I know everyone is waiting anxiously to see who we will be honoring today, but before the festivities begin, I would like to, once again, thank Craig for providing our board with a place where we can celebrate the best of what BWW has to offer: the diversity of each of our members and the bond that we all share as a group. I'd also like to express my admiration for everyone who has embraced this idea and created a place where we can honor an individual and, in so doing, appreciate the multifaceted experience of being part of a community.
So, a round of applause to all who have been participating and celebrating the spirit of this wonderful addition to the Off-Topic Board!
Ok... it's time to pass the baton...
Like those who have been honored before me, I thought long and hard about who I would like to be the next BWW CoTD. I wanted to celebrate someone who has been a positive presence in our community and give all of us the chance to get to know an individual who many of us don't often see in the 'spotlight'.
I, too, started a list of people who are not individuals with whom I have a "real life friendship", but people who I would be delighted to get to know. It has been a very difficult decision, and one or two of my friends here will attest to the fact that as of late last night I still hadn't made up my mind! Everyone on my list was special in his/her own way, and there are so many deserving members...
But, the time has come... so, I'd like to thank Wexy for bestowing upon me the honor of being the Celebrity of the Day. I was so moved to be selected by someone who I admire, and who we all enjoyed getting to know better during his reign! I'd like to thank everyone who posted and sent me such beautiful messages. I am very grateful and thank you for giving me such a wonderful day!
SO.... the individual who I would like to celebrate today is someone who I have had limited interaction with, but who caught my eye by his intelligent, well informed posts about theatre, movies and popular culture. He is admired by Students and Adults alike and speaks his mind and shares his opinions in an open and honest manner.
I look forward to getting to know him better today. And I HOPE he has time to post (and isn't busy with school)!
Ladies and Gentlemen, give it up for munkustrap178
Congratulations and Enjoy!
