You're very welcome. I thought some facts might be welcome. I find the subject truly fascinating.
He was just interviewed by the Katie Couric on the CBS Evening News. They're going to show it again on The Insider, airing now on the East Coast.
Katie was looking at and speaking to him as if he were an emotionally challenged child. It was embarrassing.

Off topic, but I loathe Katie Couric. Love Michael J. Fox, though!
Ahhhh Katie Cupcake! I also can NOT stand that woman.
Katie treated him as a child? The liberals didn't all get on the same page from Howard Dean's talking points today?
They will all be surprised on November 7.

Limbaugh's attack on Fox was eerily similar (in substance and merit) to Ann Coulter's attack on the 9/11 widows. Even the wording is almost the same--they "put themselves out there" and thus shouldn't be exempt from criticism. Criticism yes, slander no.
And would someone please correct the spelling of Mr. Fox's first name on the subject line of this thread? After all, we are dealing with facts here, aren't we?
Exactly, Rush and Ann are taking orders from Karl Rove.
Hilarious.
You are *so* annoying.
Can somebody drop a house on this bitch?

The above statement is from the tolerance/diversity crowd.
Thanks.
Well, I don't like Katie Couric either, but she at least made a donation, as her father has Parkinson's. Good for Katie. I'm glad I didn't see her treating him like a child, though, because it would have made me very angry. He's an incredibly intelligent and dedicated man, and I hope she didn't trivialize that.
I repeat, Shbrt, it was embarrassing.
I saw his Actor's Studio interview a few weeks ago and I'm not sure if he was on the meds or not, since he was quite shakey.
It was a great interview though, and I think both men handled it well.
You know, he has now admitted using "too much of his medicine" to produce the effects we saw in the ad.
What a crock of sh**.
It's a side effect of taking too much medicine.
What a phony!
Read it and Weep!
You realize that website is opinion. Show me scientific fact. I want to hear from several doctors and read university fidnings. Post from emdical journals if you can. This is no different than me saying Bush has sex with sheep then posting several liberal sites that report the same story, so it must be true.
More confirmation of Fox using too much medicine.
Read It, You'll learn a lot.
FOX: The symptoms that I had in the ad that I did, that's called dyskinesia, and that's actually from too much medication.
What a Phony!!!!!!
Okay, now he's using Rush limabugh as his source! I kid you not! Am I allowed to list Moveon.org and Democraticunderground as my source? If you can why can't I? I can easily counter your argument if I can use liberal sites to make my claims stick. Dakin, you MUST be a 16 year old boy who is being home schooled! YOU MUST!
Well if there's anything that Rush knows, it's about being over medicated!
Not at all. But your reaction when presented with Fox's own words is the typical caricature of a liberal: deny, deny, deny.
Clinton tried it until the Blue Dress.
Fox never looks like he did in the commercial because he uses the proper dose of medicine. He looks fairly normal on Boston Legal.
Believe what you may, but unless you suffer from this disease yourself, I think you're not in any position to judge whether he over medicated himself intentionally or not. Anyone who takes these medications on a daily basis, as my brother does, can not necessarily measure what effect each dose is going to have. The fact of the matter is, Fox suffers from Parkinsons and the effects of that disease are not pretty.
He's campagining for people who he believes will support the research to find a treatment for it. If that's a bad thing in your eyes, then just come out and say it.
All political ads are based on how they can manipulate the voters, either Republican or Democrat. Fox chose to speak out on his own behalf, he's pitching for someone whom he belives will actually help his cause. In the past he's appealed for suppport for Arlen Specter who also supports the research, so, he's not necessarily pandering to just the Democrats, he's supporting those canidates that he feels will support his drive for further research. Is that really so bad?

I'd just like to point out to those who may just be coming in to the thread that I posted three links to three separate legitimate news stories about stem cell research as it relates to Parkinson's (plus snippets of the articles) from three separate legitimate sources on page 2. Enjoy!
(D'oh! Page 2! Sorry.)

Fox admitted to using too much medication to make it look worse on the AD.
Can you and Jack Murtha spell FRAUD?

Can you please direct me to your source, where he says he did it intentionally?
